1st Cruise by jinxxmosher

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

Had an overall good experience for my first time cruising with only 2 things that could have been better that stick out to me. One of those being food, dinner options weren’t that of a wide variety and the filet needs a little work, but nothing to major here. The second being the port in Ensenada, it just didn’t seem as tourist friendly. But overall the trip was great.

Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

Nice time was had by all in our party (family). Lots to do, eat and explore!! We got a whole lot of steps walking back and forth so we slept really well. The beds were comfy. Staff was nice and entertainment was good!

Relaxing Cruise by baunderwood92

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Joy / Destination: Mexico

Norwegian Joy was built for the Asian market. Yes, it was refurbished, but the rooms are REALLY SMALL. We had a mini-suite and you compare that to Royal Caribbean? That would be a balcony room. The beds are uncomfortable (hard as a rock). And, if you are tall, forget it. Your feet will be off the bed. The bathroom was very nice. Walk-in shower and 2 sinks. Plenty of room to move around. Entertainment and food were excellent. If you are going on this ship to enjoy the speedway, it is not as good as it appears. Due to younger drivers being allowed to drive alone that are inexperienced, you never really get to do a lap at full speed. They need to keep it anyone under 16 should not be on the single karts, or at least at a separate time without adults. We got our money back. We will be going back to Royal Caribbean to enjoy future cruises.

First Norwegian cruise..... well worth it! by crzwilling

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Joy / Destination: Mexico

we had a great time and even purchased future trip on Norwegian (Alaska). this ship had 4500 passengers however other than the first day we didn't feel we couldn't do anything we wanted to. there were a few things that annoyed us but overall a great experience. if you get annoyed easy due to crowds find a different ship. If you go with patients, desire to meet people, and want to just relax.... this is your ship!!

I would not do this ship again, I felt like it really did not live up to Norwegian Standards.

Relaxing Trip by dtigerbear

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Oosterdam / Destination: Mexico

One of the best cruises we have been on. Better daytime activities, more entertainment (have some during the day), and better communications would improve the experience.

Won't be traveling with Holland again anytime soon. by Kristi27

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Oosterdam / Destination: Mexico

SO disappointed in Holland!! The lack of new onboard activities, the bad food, and the lack of communication will have me looking to other cruise lines in the future. You have gone way too far downhill to waste my money with you again. I would have rather stayed home than be on this cruise and that is the saddest statement and the saddest to feel about spending my hard earned money on my 1 vacation this year. Not happy whatsoever.

Ok cruise by mbrownbatiste

I expected a little more for Carnival as it was a new cruise. Seems as if the ship was just refurbished.

Although Panorama is a new ship?, we were not impressed. Ship layout was not appealing. Food with the exception of the Steakhouse was not appealing.

Carnival not for me by ceceliaraquel

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Panorama / Destination: Mexico

For such an experienced cruiseline I was disappointed in the disorganization and frenetic chaos everywhere you turned. It’s as if they had never had a ship in the water before. The food was not fresh and prepared according to menu descriptions. The staff appeared to not know what they were serving. The finishes on ship were tacky and the plants were fake.

One week cruise to Mexico by dhkatz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Oosterdam / Destination: Mexico

Older ship, but pleasantly serviceable. Good cruise for a short visit to Mexico. Only visited 3 ports. Three full days at sea allows for a relaxing trip.

Superb service in all areas by WNCWC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

3-night cruise is the perfect getaway. I can tell almost every staff worked hard to make the guests have a wonderful experience. But I feel very bad for all the waiters having to carry loads of heavy plates and glassware in one hand. Of course they did not complain at all, but a lot of guests felt that it's not right. Have you considered having them use push carts instead? This is a health issue that should not be ignored. While we feel good about the cruise, we cannot ignore those who serve tirelessly. Please give this serious consideration. Thanks.

Fantastic cruise to Ensenada by camiberger18

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

This cruise was extremely nice. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Our room steward remembered our names and offered help and advice whenever we needed it. The food was delicious and all of the servers were amazing.

Review by honeycheerioz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

MY BIGGEST CRITIQUE WAS THE NOISE FOR HOURS!! IT HAPPENED TWO TIMES. The day we arrived back to the port it was WAY WORSE we had VERY LOUD noises, shaking, and just disturbance from 4am-8am! Carnival NEEDS to make this known ahead of time especially for those who have KIDS. My daughters sleep was disturbed and so was mine. So to pay for a room and we loose out on hours of sleep on vacation is completely UNACCEPTABLE.

Quick trip to Mexico made for the perfect getaway! by justinelder

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Mexico

All in all, good trip. We have become cruisers and appreciate all the finer bells and whistles. This trip was spontaneous for us and the reason we booked it - I really could care less for Cabo, I needed 5 days on the seas to unplug. And for that - huge success. If I had gone to be pampered, I would not have enjoyed it as much. It felt this time to be a bit like a cattle drive - we were the cattle..
