Review summary

3-night cruise is the perfect getaway. I can tell almost every staff worked hard to make the guests have a wonderful experience. But I feel very bad for all the waiters having to carry loads of heavy plates and glassware in one hand. Of course they did not complain at all, but a lot of guests felt that it's not right. Have you considered having them use push carts instead? This is a health issue that should not be ignored. While we feel good about the cruise, we cannot ignore those who serve tirelessly. Please give this serious consideration. Thanks.

Embarkation

We traveled with a friend who needed wheelchair experience. The service was swift, courteous and professional.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We loved Madri Gras and Candlelight. The menu was well planned and the food was heavenly. Everything was very fresh and seasoned perfectly. Lido was okay by comparison. I would like to see more plant-based and/or seafood choices in Lido.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the fitness center and the spa and did a lot of walking on the top deck. That was enjoyable.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The cruise director was the best!!! He knows how to entertain and is very good at engaging the audience. The performers were stellar. It would be nice to have longer Broadway shows in the Paris Lounge though; and the talk-show artist for the comedy show made some racial remarks which I didn't care for.

Children's Programs

We didn't have any children traveling with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The waiters were absolutely awesome. Bliselda and her team captain were wonderful. They did their work with passion and love. So caring and professional. Same goes to Armando and his assistant in Madri Gras. All four of them deserve a promotion and a raise!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I think the size of the ship is perfect. We didn't have to walk for "miles" to go from one end to the other. The cleaning crew worked very hard to keep the common areas clean and well-maintained. Kudos to them. Thank you very much.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room size is decent. Pillows, bed and comforter are fluffy and comfortable. Everything is very clean, especially the bathroom. That is much appreciated. Also, in my personal opinion, staterooms on Level E is the best because it's the same level to embark and disembark, where the customer service is, and just one or two floors below dining and entertainment. So convenient!!

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

$23 daily parking is too much; porter also asked for tips.

Ensenada, Mexico

5 out of 5
We went to church and walked in the nearby area because we have been to Ensenada before. Prices are equivalent to those in California but it's still a nice experience getting out of the ship to walk around.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy and fast. I liked that Madri Gras opened early so we could have breakfast on board before disembarkation.
