5 days at sea is a bit much but there were plenty of activities and we were looking to chill.

Nice Hawaii cruise by KansasCity101

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

Very nice but expensive cruise (our 11th cruise, 3rd with NCL). We booked through and did not get the drink package. Pros: Every port had easy access to doing things on your own, either renting a car, a nice beach close by, or interesting stuff within walking distance. Food was a definite improvement over Carnival. All of the ports had easy wifi/internet (we use T-mobile) so no need for the internet package. Cons: The price! Even the cheapest inside cabin ran about 5-6k when you include everything. That's in addition to the airfare to get over to Honolulu. Our ship was only half full, which meant that there were many venues closed. I would have liked to eat breakfast in the MDR occasionally.

Wonderful trip, loved the Aft Balcony. by letscruise6736

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Hawaii

This is a great Interary, on sea days you can do as much or as little as you desire. I really enjoyed the Hawaiian and Music Lectures each day. The staff seem very happy and have a great desire to please. Overall this trip was a wonderful experience.

Below expectations by harrispva

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Eclipse / Destination: Hawaii

We thought Celebrity was a more upscale cruise line. It was not what we anticipated. We will not recommend Celebrity. We received a phone call when we went to Hilo that our house was flooding due to hurricane Ian. We made arrangements & let the ship in Kona.

Cruise ok, Ports of call terrific! by cristagc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

Great way to get from island to island but that was the best part. Food was ok. Service was fair. Room was good--a typical cabin but the balcony was awesome. I really liked being on the aft end. Honestly it was a very expensive vacation but it was a bucket-list one that we will remember forever!!

Great food, limited venues, slow service, many bars & restaurants closed, not fully operational- 40% capacity and service- cruise should be discounted 40% by brannickangel

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

Travelled with 10 people, 5 cabins. Food was outstanding but many restaurants and bars closed. In main dining room (only one open) service was quite slow, servers forgetful… IMHO if cruise line is only at 40% then they should be discounting price for cruise as the experience is sub par

Disappointed. by dvk0825

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

Understaffed, restaurants, bars and other amenities closed. Not as we expected as a return NCL passenger. Most expensive cruise we have taken from NCL but we really did not enjoy the ship experience.

Paid a lot of money for little return. by fisherwoods

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

Bottom line - we paid a lot of money for a half-staffed cruise to the islands. Several places to eat were closed, other amenities found on other ships were closed. limited hours, entertainment lacking.

Amazing Honeymoon by arlapre414

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

It was an amazing honeymoon. I had never been to Hawaii and its a great way to get an intro into the islands. I probably wouldn't do the cruise again now that I know which islands I want to visit again for more days. I'd be tempted to do the cruise again though when its back to 100% capacity or if they get a new ship. As most know about 1/2 the bars and restaurants are closed but it didn't ruin the good times!

Awesome Hawaiian Cruise by pearlgert

Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

Travel with 3 other couples and dined at all available locations. We were close to everything we needed. The guest services group were excellent. I would truly recommend this trip to anyone. It was great.

Expensive Transportation should have flown to the islands instead by KimberlyK10080

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

Would pass on this cruise - limited entertainment, poor serviced and food. Consider booking airfare, hotels and cars at the various islands instead.

Hawaii was great but ship very disappointing by sadlerp1049

Hawaii was great as always. This was our fourth trip to the islands. This was our first cruise around the islands and the NCL Pride of America was very disappointing.

Lots of little aggravations that in this day and age add up to much frustration.

Ship 60% shut down maybe wait and go later by SPST

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

I can't say it enough. We were charged full price for a ship that was 60% functional. If I had ben given an option I would have postponed this trip. We had a good time, but felt cheated by the lack of functioning venues to enjoy when we were on the ship.

Amazing trip around Hawaiin islands by cshelton7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

I thought the cruise was amazing. My ship was at 40% capacity. This was nice in many ways. It was low-key. There were no pushy upselling, no push to buy diamonds and attend hairy man chest contest. There were very few intercom announcements Although I like the party atmosphere of Carnival at times this cruise was all about the beauty of Hawaii and fine dining. The staff was wonderful. It was an experience of a life time and I am thankful I got to have it!

Wonderful Hawaiian Vacation by lovecruising558

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Eclipse / Destination: Hawaii

I would recommend Celebrity to anyone looking for a relaxing atmosphere with quiet venues and subdued music. This line is geared towards a bit of an older crowd and definitely not the party crowd. It was lovely, and one of my favorite lines. I would no recommend for young children... just not enough "kid friendly" things to keep the busy... no water slides, etc.

Cancelled Maui Port Day, COVID Outbreak by weingartphillip

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Eclipse / Destination: Hawaii

Celebrity failed to live up to their excellent reputation and our past experiences on over a dozen cruises with them. They still have the bones of a great cruise line, however, they need to get back to basics and stop relying so much on marketing to fill their ships, but rather the great experiences that they have been known for.
