Good Mediterranean cruise by Shelliburns323

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The cruise was a great way to see lots of different cities. The food is better than most all inclusive we’ve been too. It didn’t feel crowded except the day at sea when everyone was on board all day. Chairs were harder to find unless you get up early.

Wonderful Baltic Adventure by shell43

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Regal Princess / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

We love cruising. Love Princess. Saw a lot of different ports. I really enjoy being able to see the history of the different places. People are the same wherever you travel. We need to remember that! Fantastic cruise

Good family experience by Exploringfamily

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Veendam / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

It was long enough to relax and enjoy. There were enough ports we had to pace our activities to avoid being overwhelmed and that worked out. Fantastic staff and felt welcomed by all from ave 4 to 70.

Everything went well with the cruise. I'm having trouble redeeming the bonus offers that were listed when we booked the cruise.

Problems w/Blarney Castle. As advertised long lines may be expected but line was over 2.5 hrs to get to castle entrance. Therefore, we did not get to see castle. False advertising. by kmordensky

We will NOT go on a Crown Princess again. What a shame. Problems w/Blarney Castle. As advertised long lines may be expected but line was over 2.5 hrs to get to castle entrance. Therefore, we did not get to see castle. False advertising. We should be refunded our excursion fee.

Wonderful trip by 2bordens

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

Our only issue & this is a major issue. We paid for the transfer from the airport to the hotel. We booked a pre-cruise 3 days in London before boarding the ship. We arrived at 5:30 am and there was no one to collect us. It took 3 hours and the help of a Princess Rep, who was there to collect passengers for another cruise, to get us a car to get to the hotel. This was 3 hours of London time that was lost. It was no way to start a vacation.

Enjoyable Baltic Cruise by djfenter

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Overall the cruise was a good experience. The excursions were generally quite good and the ship's crew/ staff were very good. However, there was a major problem on this cruise. The WiFi and Internet service provided onboard was terrible. I spent most days onboard working with the computer service staff trying to get WiFi service and Internet access. I often went 3-5 days without any Internet access at all. This was the worst WiFi and Internet service we have ever experienced on any ocean or river cruise. Near the end of the cruise, an IT specialist came on board in Helsinki to repair some of the satellite and WiFi hardware. This helped a bit but the service was still not very good. The IT staff said that Marina was going into dry dock for service that would include improving the WiFi and Internet service. This is urgently needed.

Great Cruise, Excellent Service, Some very nice places to see, although some were very far from the ship by 3Mark

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Our cruise was very enjoyable. It was second best to our Greek Islands cruise a couple years ago. The biggest difference was the lovely ports that we stopped at in the Greek Isles versus some of the horrid industrial ports that we docked at on this cruise. On two occasions we had to pay ($15 and $12) just to get the shuttle from the industrial port to the town. Celebrity explained that it was the port collecting the money and not the cruise line. I cannot image which cheapskate at Celebrity made that decision. Considering the cost of the cruise I would never expect my clients to pay these shuttle expenses. I like Celebrity very much. We've done three cruises with them over the past few years. It's a shame that they place such a high priority on getting every cent out of their clients that they possibly can. As a former executive of a Fortune 100 company, I can say that there is no way that I'd ever dump my clients at some horrid industrial port miles from the city and then expect them to pay for the shuttle to town. A shameful decision.

Disappointing Cruise Experience due to Ship/Port by drano21

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Spirit / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

We had many issues on this cruise, listed below: 1) The ship itself is in need of serious repair. The decor is seriously outdated, many times dirty around tile (such as in restrooms) and needs to be cleaned up. We also experienced issues where the fountains were vibrating so loudly in the lobby that we had to leave the Champagne bar as it was so annoying. The boards on the 7th deck as we walked were bowing upwards and caused water pooling on the right side forward. It was serious, no one looked at it...they simply repainted the railing. There were numerous restrooms closed throughout the trip in public areas and we were told the piping was having issues. We also encountered major water on floor next to broken toilets in restrooms. The pool area is nice, but there was never a time to have BBQ outside (some due to weather) when there were days it would have worked. As far as destinations, we are seriously disappointed in NCL for not preparing us for the Amsterdam stop. This was the first time they made port in this area which was a long way from Amsterdam. This isn't an issue as long as you can get there. We went out and bought bus tickets at terminal to head to Amsterdam. From time we left boat until we got there...it was almost THREE hours. This cost us major time and we had no clue of the serious issue that was going to occur. Once back on board, I asked what happened and told the gentleman that I was thinking the cruise port said Amsterdam on our cruise documents which I printed way back in May. The gentleman was extremely rude to me and my wife (and we took down 3 emails to corroborate the scene that ensued). We said we "thought" it said Amsterdam and we've been to that port before. He told us "No, it didn't". I told him, I don't have it in front of me...he said "Well, I'm telling you, it didn't". I asked him if I understood him correctly that he was telling me what I had on my documents which were not in front of me...and he said "Yes, it does not say that". I wasn't saying it did, I was saying I thought it did. The number of people watching this were AMAZED at this customer service interaction. We were mildly upset when we walked up, and when we walked away, we were DISGUSTED. This stop was a nightmare, and it should have been better organized and discussed by NCL on the front end. With regards to the staff, wonderful as always. Gracia the waitstaff in Galaxy really stood out...so did Manu and Maya in Champagne Charlie's. The staff (gentleman we encountered was manager) at Customer Service and the ship made us really not like this cruise much at all. Has us considering other options for next year for sure.

Older Ship needs alot of upgrades by lckless

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Spirit / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

All in all I was disappointed in the ship because it is so "worn down" with holes in the upholstery in the night club and the most uncomfortable seats in the theater. I chose the cruise because of the ports, but was very dissatisfied with the ship.

Rome to Venice by tomgwaltney

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Celebrity Infinity / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We really enjoyed our trip but ship is a little dated and 2 of the stops were lacking. The Tuscan Grill specialty restaurant was the worst meal of the cruise. Service was mostly good. Fact that you have to present your card every time you did anything was very annoying.
