Disappointed on my fifth cruise with Holland America. Staff in shop were rude and unhelpful. Staff didn't seem able to communicate information during Germany delay.

MAGICAL. Was 9 days of BEAUTIFUL. Fjords where Breathtaking BEAUTIFUL!! BEST cruise ever!!!

Overall Cruise was fantastic. Royal Caribbean could have done a better job by getting the chefs to work collaboratively with the serving team to understand customer dietary needs and preparing a simple menu in advance so we know what was being served, what we are consuming rather than being told some surprise. In some case we did not know what were the ingredients except kept hearing it is a surprise. Past cruise we had better experience with vegan food, chef knew what we needed and set a menu.

We love ncl for its freedom, informality and most of all for the diversity of its staff. The Norwegian staff were fantastic and this itinerary was absolutely terrific. We have cruised for years, but this is the first cruise we have taken since both of us have had mobility issues and we were disappointed that the excursions had no offerings that were really doable for us - we took four level 1 excursions and they were quite challenging. We bailed (even after paying) on three - just too hard. I hope that the market for aging boomers will force the availability of better choices over time - mostly a port problem, I realize, but we have seen wheelchair symbols by some excursions on other cruise lines. But overall it was marvelous and we remain loyal Norwegian fans.

The ship was very nice and a good size. I really liked that they had happy hour twice a day and offered "buy one get one drinks for $2.00" for those of us who are moderate drinkers but who could not possibly drink enough to make the drink package worthwhile and still function.

I would recommend this cruise to anyone. There was so much to do and we enjoyed all of it.

Nice ship although dated. Really enjoyed the itinerary although some ports were far from town and shuttle buses were expensive! Service was good all over the ship. BORING menu in the main dining room after the 1st few days. Very repetitive. Nothing special for formal nights. Would recommend happy hours and a dedicated water bottle filling station! TOO many emails prior to the cruise and TOO much paper during the cruise. Account information should be available on stateroom t.v.

Great ship and crew! Beautiful scenery just need more storage in cabin.

The trip was very enjoyable. The service was very good, the ports were good, the entertainment was good except for Clare Maiden, and the food was very good. However, compared with the food and entertainment we had on our cruise aboard the Celebrity Millennium in December, which was outstanding, this cruise was OK.

However, ships excursions were overpriced and the tour/excursion/port information person provided inaccurate information about the docking site in Bergen and had no current experience with the ports.

Overall this was a vacation we won't soon forget - beautiful scenery, warm and attentive service, and outstanding food. We loved everything about this cruise and would book it again in a heartbeat. The Norwegian Fjords are very similar to Alaska as far as scenery but also very different and so glad that we have been lucky enough to experience and compare both destinations. Of all the cruise lines and ships that we have sailed on (over 100) I have to say this is one of my favorites

The cruise destinations were wonderful! I would have to say that the Getaway has some work to do to improve their activities and tendering process. We are very glad we went but not sure I would have paid the top dollar that we did. Due to NCL Getaway's fault, we missed our first port, but they only compensated us $25 each - we chose this cruise for the destinations, and think that the value of the destinations was worth much more than that.

Never again on this ship that was overcrowded and missed 2 ports; would rather have done it on my own on the ferry through the fjords and flights to Iceland & Scotland.

Overall, this was the worst cruise I have ever been on and we don’t think we will ever do a Norwegian cruise again. It was still vacation so it was good but 2 days into the cruise we were already counting down the days until we could get off the boat. We tried to make the best of it since it was 14 days long, but every day there was something new that just made us wish we had chosen a different vacation. I provided detailed comments above about the ship, room and stops. This was a well run cruise, managed by a well run company.

Don't know if it was the Russians or RCL (or both) but the St Petersburg return to ship was a mess. The security line went the length of the building plus the parking lot and it took 45 minutes to get to the building and another 15 to get to the ship. We will not do that again!

This itinerary was on my bucket list and I’m so glad we did it when we did. The shore excursions were taxing but worth it. I do not recommend it for folks with difficulty walking as the pace and the cobblestones would present quite a challenge. The ship reminded me of how much I enjoy smaller ships. We were spoiled at every turn by staff and got to know so many of the other passengers, which really doesn’t happen much on a ship of 6,500 passengers. I couldn’t imagine a better experience, unless, perhaps, I had won big in the casino.

Over all trip was fabulous. I do have a complaint on the nail service I received. There is a 14 day chipping guarantee. My nails began to chip on day 2. I would not have mentioned this, but 6 days later 4 of my nails are chipping. I would like to discuss a refund for on this service.
