Excellent Mediterranean Vacation by jecowell

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Symphony of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

7 days on board is not enough. Plenty of activities and venues and despite the large number of cruisers, there were no lines (i.e. no waiting). The ship's layout is such that it doesn't seem that there are that many people on board. Well planned and well organized cruise from start to finish. Continuous fun and enjoyment.

Great Mideterranean Cruise, wish we had more time in each port by LenaCpa

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

1. Great Mediterranean Cruise, but not enough time at each port. 2. Swimming pools were very small and nor designed for people having difficulties using the ladder/steps as oppose to flat solid steps. 3. Swimming pools close way too early 4. Except for Circus, entertainment was not the greatest 5. Wish there were restaurants or bars open late in the open area space

A trip of a lifetime by rogyanks

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Oosterdam / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

The overall experience was terrific. The Disembarkation was a mess. Seems like every ship was in port at the same time. Buses were there but, you there was lack of direction.

My husband and I had Fun, but we would have a nicer cruise if the ship was dispensing straws. by LolaOfZander

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Star / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We booked an excursion at every port of call. We enjoyed the places we've visited. However, we wished that we were able to spend some minutes to go shopping for souvenirs in Dubrobnik, Croatia.

Amazing Port of Calls-Royal Caribbean not so much by cynthiaransom

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Symphony of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The Symphony of the Seas is an AMAZING ship. The activities and entertainment is GREAT! My family and I had an AWESOME time. They have everything covered, you could never be bored. The service was over the top EXCELLENT and sealed the deal for us. We experienced one negative and that was having to pay to get clothes ironed, that;s just unacceptable. I also think they need to reevaluate the drink package to include Starbucks. If Royal Caribbean put a little more emphasis on the cruiser, they rating would definitely be 5 stars. Go enjoy, as the ports of calls are EXCITING, so much to do and WE did everything lol. Looking into a 2020 cruise of Greece on a Royal cruise ship. #SymphonyoftheseasROCK

Enlightening Adriatic Sea Cruise by skicolo2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Star / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We thoroughly enjoyed the ship, the itinerary & all of the ports we visited! It was pretty warm & humid in most of the ports, so would suggest traveling later in the month (Sept.) or possibly in late spring.

Very nice ports of call by Lino777

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Very nice but spent a lot more money than I had anticipated. Charging $15 cork fee for each bottle of wine when bringing bottles from port-of-call is very uncalled for and petty. Especially since my bar tab was very, very high. Insult on top of injury.

Lots of people by pecaruso

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

I felt that Norwegian provided the bare basics and left you to pay extra for too many things. Granted, they are in business to make money but they should also look for more repeat cruisers.

Great location, great venue, but bad experience by andytonkovich

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Star / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Being on Deck 11 was a nightmare that ruined what could have been a great experience. Dining was great, shows were great, drink service average, excursions average quality, ports average since a lot of the same settings ... set up for the cruise ships, but the cabin experience on Deck 11 was a terrible with the Deck 12 noise that lasted throughout the night.

Great Greek Isles cruise by jadi1011

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Our room steward was fabulous as all support staff was. The ship is clean and we enjoyed the activities provided. The only downside we really had was the buffet, it is too small and there were times they had to close it while the crowds thinned out. Maybe they would have been better off having the Park Cafe open more house to help with this. The sandwiches at the Park Cafe are really good. They had movies poolside and some really good shows.

Nice way to sample the Rivieras! by ddadesign4u

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Wind Surf / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Over all we enjoyed our cruise. Thought the sails would be used more than they were. Food was nice for the most part, but desserts lacked. Need more hooks in staterooms. Floor plan of yacht in the elevators is oriented the wrong way...should be facing the same way the boat is: The hallways all look the same, so it can be difficult the first few days to know if you are walking to the bow or the stern. Also, these plans of the ship should be posted in the hallway near steps as well. Evening entertainment was nice, but needed a bit more spark and diversity. The BBQ was very nicely done! We are just extremely disappointed in the alternate port that Windstar chose due to high winds. La Seine was a terrible port and we lost a complete day of our trip there. Taxi's were unavailable at the port. The least Windstar could have done was to provide some sort of shuttle service or at least notified local taxi company of our unplanned day in port. We understand that port reservations are made a year in advance, but if Windstar knows that this area of the Mediterranean is traditionally very windy at this time of year, then a port should be planned rather than hoping to use the tenders.

Terrific Symphony of the Seas cruise by hurthlinda

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Symphony of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

This Mediterranean cruise was beyond any of our expectations. Symphony of the Seas has a huge WOW factor. The cabins are well appointed and comfortable. The tours were excellent. It is amazing to have such a huge ship and lots of passengers and never feel crowded. Central Park was a favorite.

Very HOT ! Not a good idea go to Greece in summer time. by Kite

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

My brief overview. Cruise was OK overall. Every port was tooo hot. (We knew it would be hot) Most crew members were friendly, nice, and working hard. Entertainment was better than usual, especially some of the bar/club performers. As always, cruise excursions are absurdly overpriced. Much better for most to make independent arrangements.

7 night Greek Isles/4 ports by meddyk

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Star / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The cruise had an excellent selection of ports. I only wish we had more time. The crew was friendly and helpful. The clientele of a European port is varied with quite a few different languages being spoken aboard, and I found that the crew managed this well.

A very good time. by scottandjo

A very nice cruise. We missed the first port due to problems beyond Norwegians control but after that all went very well and a good time will be had by all.
