The cruise had an excellent selection of ports. I only wish we had more time. The crew was friendly and helpful. The clientele of a European port is varied with quite a few different languages being spoken aboard, and I found that the crew managed this well.
Embarkation

Our cruise followed the incident where the lady from the UK jumped from the ship. We got to the terminal to find that our ship was not there. The crew were friendly and did what they could, but hours of waiting and crowds were inevitable. Norwegian offered to send us back to Venice to spend the day. We took that option. Upon returning we found that the ship had to go through reports and inspections concerning the incident, so we did not leave until well into the night. I can only imagine how the departing passengers were dealing with missed flights. My condolences were to the crew who worked themselves silly over this. The terminal was a bit chaotic and forthcoming reports on our status were hard to get. Nevertheless, we all got through it.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

We did not take part in any of the specialty dining offers. The cafeteria was adequate and food was good. The large dining restaurant, Versailles, was where we ate most of our meals. The service was very good. The food was very good.

Our room was well-designed for the space. The room steward was adequate and somewhat friendly, but I think it may be different in Europe, as this was our first European-based cruise. I find that the American cruises offer more toiletries & the room stewards go over the top to please (and we are very easy to please people). All in all, however, they were fine.
I love this place! It has the feel of a seaport town, which is what it is. We got some fresh seafood at a restaurant on the water. The food was delicious and the experience was great.
We took the Game of Thrones Tour—along with about 300 other people. Our guide moved us along and was very entertaining. As crowded as this place was, he kept our small group together and we did not suffer from the August crowds. We had a short amount of time to explore the old town, but I wish we could have stayed longer.
We were on the ship the week before the ‘jumper’. Agree totally about food and service, very good. I believe your cruise had to miss the stunning port of Kotor so they could catch up on their schedule.
