Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

My extended family of 13 had the most wonderful time celebrating my parents 50th Anniversary on Norwegian Epic in the Mediterranean. The Norwegian staff is amazing, area able to see assist with every need, and help to make the trip the easiest vacation one could have. I highly recommend Norwegian Cruise Line.

Shows and News are not at the standard. by dallaswinwin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The last day of the cruise, they want you out by 10:30 (everyone) not a real day to do any thing. Loud noises started at 5:30 in the morning. The artists were good but the overall show to limited.

Wasn't all it cracked up to be. by sharilinton

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Armonia / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

I've been on much better cruise lines. We had to pay for everything (even water) and the food was subpar. Marseille France and Olbia Sardinia were the worst ports. There was absolutely nothing to do their. Limited entertainment. Average age of guest was 70. Overall, we had to make our own fun (on and off the boat).

John & Jackie does Italy by jjthirtle

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

From getting on board to the first site of our balcony suite we didn't look back . We were seated with interesting companions & the waiters + their supervisors looked after our needs with excellence .. The room sparkled & remained so throughout the trip .  The buffet & STAFF were on constant guard to keep us happy ,without clutter. The off ship encounters were very well organized & we were able to make the most of our precious time .

WELL DONE  WITH  MANY THANKS to the team .

Smooth cruiser with problems by debob3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The ship is a big beautiful smooth sailing five star hotel with problems! There are not enough elevators on board making passengers wait a long time only to find the one that finally arrives packed with people. The outside pool area is too small making it impossible to find an open deck lounge, and if your luckily enough to find one there is no room between them forcing you to crawl onto them! More than half the pool area is devoted to children making it noisy and uncomfortable to relax.

On the other side the ship is exceptionally smooth sailing and very beautiful appointed with all the latest interactive features you could want.

Eastern Mediterranean (Rome Roundtrip) by sldittel

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Reflection / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

The Ship and Service were very good

Food was above average

The destinations were great but the excursions were not worth the money

We went on 6 of them and were very disappointed In all of them but one

We were rushed through many of the most magnificent sites in the world

Lunch, bathroom breaks, and shopping were the emphasis on many excursions

One of the excursions was suppose to be exclusive at a cost of $345 per person Exclusive was stated as between 15 people and 25 people.  There were 36 people which was not exclusive at all

Wonderful by bfranklin892

Everything was wonderful !!  Ship and staff were very nice.  Beverage package was great.  Not many excursion choices through the ship - all about the same.  Difficult getting to Santorini due to the crowds.

Summer vacation by jgarges

Good choice for mature travelers.  Not alot of fun, silly activities.  good way to see many different countries.  Using hop on hop off bus works well in Barcelona and Monte Carlo and other area .

Western Mediterranean Cruise by jdrsweetie

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Allure of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

This was a fabulous cruise. The ship is gorgeous and the overall experience was awesome. You are actually made to forget you are on a cruise ship and on the water. It is more like a floating city. Everything you need or think you need is at your disposal. The entire crew is tuned in to your needs. Everyone is pleasant, professional, kind and friendly. It is incredible to experience the ease of movement on the ship considering the number of people cruising. Royal Caribbean has thought of everything!!  It was a five star experience.

Very good cruise!! by russian643

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We enjoy this trip a lot. Very Good destination. Food was great, cabins small but clean and looks nice. A lot of different activities. Shows could be better - very short.

Palma Majorka destination stay could be longer - 4 hours  very little time.

A great way to see many places! by msbow16

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

the cruise was exactly what I expected. Rooms were nice (I had a balcony) and well taken care of. The ship was clean and staff was generally very pleasant and helpful. I upgraded all of my dinners, which I highly suggest if you don't want to feel like you are being fed with the masses or rushed through. Embarking/disembarking was easy and all ports had some form of transportation to local train station or city center. We did one excursion, but any port can be accessed on your own.

Good enough by elizabethbelvin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Mediterranea / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Friendly and helpful staff, excellent ports of call, although some port visits were too short. Food variety was good, but execution was lacking. Over-cooked, under-cooked, bland, or just poor quality. I'm not a very picky eater, so it didn't really ruin my entire experience, but expect to pay for the exclusive restaurants of food is important to you. Also, food was not always available. On other cruise lines, you had more options. Also, pools and hot tubs closed at night.

Entertainment was alright. Again, better on other cruises. Overall, we had a nice vacation but would choose a different cruise line next time.

Dale's Queen Victoia Review by DaleSleeper

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Victoria / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Shipboard experience - lame at best. If your not into Ballroom dancing, then this cruise is not for you.  Daytime activities were extremely limited and it got worse at night.  Three things to do - dance, gamble, or drink.  Most of the passengers were sitting around the lobbies looking bored or stoned!  Most of the shows during the week were performed by the same performers. Same show with different costumes.  I don't go on vacation to dress up.  I don't mind getting dressed up once in a while, but every night made it feel like work!  If you spent time in your cabin, you saw the same show over and over again.  The only thing that saved the trip was the excursions!  They were fine.

Equinox by pozniak

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The ports in Greece and Turkey wer Interesting and historically significant.  The Equinox itself is elegant without being flashy.  Service was excellent; food very good.  Loved the glass-blowing exhibitions.  Most importantly, the air temperature on the ship was comfortable (not freezing as on some cruise ships).

10th Wedding Anniversary Cruise with Norwegian by EdwardLouie

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Norwegian Spirit / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Quality of food seemed to have decreased since our first cruise 10 years ago for our honeymoon. Service and people are still excellent. Stage dancers were the best since we've started cruising with Norwegian.

Goo by mpukansky

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Norwegian Spirit / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

This is a cruise with a million hidden fees. The cruise itself was good enough overall but the ship doesn't have enough to do. Food was average. They charge for laundry and basically everything else. The pool was boring and the ONE channel in English played the same 6 movies for 12 days. Some were not suitable for our child who is 10. They also need to change the buffet selections more often. We  booked 4 guided shore excursions which were an absolute waste of money and time. The worst tour guide was in Athens.  However if you do not book with the ship you may be unable to get to where you want to go, and they are very well aware of that! The only reason this review is getting 3 stars is because of its itinerary. Would I do it again... Probably notWink

30th Anniversary Celebration by jjjandkk

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Allure of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Loved the cruise.  However, for us, it was about the itinerary.  We would have done this cruise on the Majesty of the Seas.  However, it was a great ship, and not once during the week could I tell the ship was moving unless I was watching the waves go by.  Entertainment was top notch.  Blue Planet, the Aqua Show and Ice Show were amazing.  Dining Room food was very good, but not as imaginative as in the past.  Several menu items repeated during the 7 days.  I would have to say that the sirloin steak I ordered was a bit spongy, and not close to what you would get in Middle America.  All 6 of our tablemates visited on the the premium dining rooms, and all came back somewhat unimpressed.  For us, it really wasn't about the food. We had a wonderful time.  The Captain (Captain Johnny) was the most engaging Captain I have every been around.  It seemed as if he truly cared about his team, and really an incredible representation of the RCCL brand.  We could completely do this cruise again.

Don't pick deck 8 by DandDinVA

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Vision of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Great sites to see in each port, whether with RCL excursions or private tours.  Deck 8 the uppermost deck is subject to very loud noises overnight as the cleaning crews roll very heavy carts above your head all night long.  Some nights we could sleep through, most nights we could not. Size of junior suite was wonderful as was balcony.  Room service great for morning coffee.  Entertainment was ok, not great. Overall a very standard cruise experience well done, but not on deck 8.
