Review summary

Friendly and helpful staff, excellent ports of call, although some port visits were too short. Food variety was good, but execution was lacking. Over-cooked, under-cooked, bland, or just poor quality. I'm not a very picky eater, so it didn't really ruin my entire experience, but expect to pay for the exclusive restaurants of food is important to you. Also, food was not always available. On other cruise lines, you had more options. Also, pools and hot tubs closed at night.

Entertainment was alright. Again, better on other cruises. Overall, we had a nice vacation but would choose a different cruise line next time.

Split, Croatia

Did this on our own, too. Climbed the bell tower (2 euros) walked through the museum (3 euros) and had some gelato (1-2 euros). Walked through the old town and sat along the shoreline.

Kotor, Montenegro

BEST port. Climbed the fortress (a few Euros) for stunning views of the town and fjord. You'll want to watch your ship pull in and leave this port, winding through the fjord.

Paid for an excursion to Messilini Lake which was beautiful and quick. Would probably just hire a taxi if I were to do it again.

This seemed less exciting after visiting the previous ports. We explored the fort and old town and did a bit of shopping.

One complaint: too short a visit. We saw so many other things we'd have liked to do: Cable car to the top of the mountain, visiting the smaller island, etc. We paid for a (non-Costa) tour from the city walls. Very interesting and pretty place.
