blood all over our sheets by smarie7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Blood all over our sheets when we got into our room, it was absolutely disgusting. We did not realize till the morning that there was blood everywhere under the comforter. The cruiseline did nothing to compensate or anything , other than changing sheets

Excellent Ports and beautiful ship by roscoral

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We had an excellent time in this cruise. The crew was excellent and the ports are beautiful. Stress free!  Fun shows at night. It might need some more entertainment by the pool.

Review MSC Poesia East Mediterranean Cruise by vyronjohnson

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The food on the first night in the dining room was not very good. Subsequent dinners in the restaurant were better. We had difficulty finding seating at the buffet during primetime lunch hours. Water, soda and juice had to be purchased. A lot of people did not know how to wait in line and were bursting in front at food stations and elevators.

Great entertainment and cruise director. Food was good but I came home with food poisoning. Staff very helpful and courteous. Did not like Athens a very dirty city. Croatia was beautiful and our favorite stop. Drinks were watered down for the price.

My 5th Cruise by dburns4323

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Very nice room and bath. Terrific fun cruise. The food was only fair. Not the best food on a cruise that I have had. But the Destinations were great and the excursions were all very well done with only one exception. I would cruise on Norwegian again.

Wonderful Mediterranean Excursion by caryaustx

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Queen Victoria / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Was very impressed with this beautiful ship, it's cleanliness, impeccable service, wonderful entertainment, excellent food and overall ambiance. Easily navigable- being neither too big, nor too small.  Wonderful class of people, mostly in their 60s.  Only a few children/teenagers on board.

Not enough time :) by liz30

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We had a lovely cruise. Everyone on board was so friendly. I thought the food was MOSTLY good. My husband and I both work in high end restaurants, so we are naturally a little snobby, and we know that. We accept that it's very large numbers and all that. BUT I would recommend not listing things on a menu just to make it sound fancy if you don't put it in the dish. Saying that a salad is made of endive and goat cheese, and then serving a romaine salad is not the same. My husband ordered something with veal sweetbreads, and it was simply dark meat chicken. Most people wouldn't notice these things, but we did. Other than that, I thought it was quite good.

The beds were comfy, our room was cleaned perfectly, the drinks were MOSTLY good, I thought the cocktails could be improved upon, but again, as that is my business, I am a bit snobby in that respect. It would be interesting to see how a ship with "craft cocktails" would do. Call me if you ever need help with that ;)

The only other thing that was tough was the 7 am wakeup for ports of call only to have a few hours once you got there. I would be interested in a cruise that stopped for maybe a day and a half and you could either book a room in say Rome, or come back to the boat. We left pretty early every day, and only ended up with I think 3 hours in Rome after something like 2.5 hours on trains and busses each way.

Overall, we loved it, and will be back again. Great Staff, great experience.

7 Nights, 4 Countries by jandivis

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Queen Victoria / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We started in Rome.  Had to skip Cinque Terra because of a strike, which was unfortunate  because I absolutely LOVE Cinque Terra.  Went to Livorno instead.  Rome is nice, but a big city.  I have difficulty walking, and the walking in Rome is tuff.  It'd like walking on uneven, terrazzo tile.  But the food was great!  Instead of Cinque Terra, we ventured to Florence, which was smaller than Rome and easier to walk.  Enjoyed that immensely!  Then on to Monaco.  Unfortunately, the group I was with decided to do Monaco on their own.  I would have much preferred an excursion.  We went to Eze, a nice scenic town, but I missed all the sites in Monaco, and I'm still upset.  My own fault though.  Then on to Barcelona, a very nice big city. Took a great panoramic tour.   Didn't see enough of Gaudi's artwork though.  The lines were quite long, so we skipped it.  Sorry we did though.  Many people say it was the highlight of their trip.  Then on to Corsica, which surprisingly was my favorite port.  The French weren't quite as friendly, but the fact that the scenery, food, and tour were all superb made this my favorite port!  Probably because walking is difficult for me, I prefer smaller towns, so I loved this place!

Splendour of the Seas by dreers

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Splendour of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Overall, we enjoyed this cruise.   Internet service charge was $40.00 for one day, but if you buy package internet svc, it was $20.00/per day.  it's expensive to me. Windjammer has variety of food and food taste was good and the service was great. They work hard to make customers happy.

First Timer Thumbs Up by eric683

I need not be verbose. My first cruise (on the Celebrity Reflection) was stupendous, in every regard. If you have yet to select a cruise and itinerary, this one rocks!

Amazing stops, superior crew and service and wonderful boat! by christierugh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Reflection / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We were delighted with the cruise, the ports we visited and the service was above our expectations!  The only thing we wished they had was entertainment after the late dinner seating.  The entertainment was always at 7pm and 9pm so we always missed it.  We would definitely take another Celebrity cruise!

FAILED EXPECTATIONS by irina835

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Allure of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

TOO MANY PEOPLE TO PROVIDE ADIQUATE SERVICE. NO DECKS YOU CAN GO AROUND THE SHIP, NO SITTING AT ALL ON 2 TOP DECKS IN THE EVENINGS, DURING THE DAY THE MUSIC IN THE POOL AREA IS VERY-VERY LOUD, LINES IN THE MORNING TO GET YOUR BREAKFAST, THE FOOD LEAVES MUCH TO BE DESIRED. CAN EVEN COMPARE IT TO MY 3 PREVIOUS CRUISES WITH ROYAL CARIBBEAN.

Wedding Anniversary Trip- amazing by suehaley1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Journey / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

HappyWonderful experience, this was our first time cruising with Azamara and will consider it for future trips. Many of our fellow travelers had cruised with Azamara many times before.  The ship decor was a bit tired in places but we understand it is going into dry dock next year. Would love to see it when it's done!  The Azamazing evening was outstanding.

Epic Fail by diggerlee

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The service staff (housekeeping and waiters) were great and worked hard. the rest of the staff in tours in so called "customer service" were really RUDE, snarky and ignorant. Communication was horrible, they nickel and dime you to death, and the food was only so-so. Having been spoiled by Celebrity and Holland America cruise lines, The Norwegian EPIC was an EPIC FAIL!

Quality not as good as expected by todd61

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

I've been on several Carnival cruises but this was my first Norwegian cruise. I was expecting better food and service but was disappointed that neither measured up to my previous experiences. The amenities were superior - we booked a junior balcony suite that was comfortable and well appointed. The bathroom accommodations aren't too private but shouldn't be a problem if you're familiar with your traveling companion. The entertainment was superior - 2 of the 3 theater shows were Broadway quality (only the Legends show faltered). We did not pay the extra fee for Cirque de Soleil as I'm from Las Vegas and have seen most of their shows. We paid the $20/person extra to try the Ice Bar - didn't compare to the 5 Below bars in Las Vegas and the room was uncomfortably cold - we couldn't finish our second drink we were so uncomfortable.  The food was the biggest disappointment. Unless you pay extra to dine in the Bistro, Teppan or Steak restaurants the food doesn't compare to other cruises. Also I found many of the sauces they added to entrees or desserts detracted from the final product. If you're not sure you're going to like it - order it without or on the side. Most disappointing was the restaurant service. Most servers didn't seem to be enjoying their jobs and rarely smiled seeming more interested in talking to each other rather than the guests.  Of course the star of this cruise are the ports of call and they didn't disappoint. Even when we had a poor tour guide on one of our excursions - the staff discounted the excursion on our bill. Overall I enjoyed this cruise most for the places I visited and if I travelled this area again I think I would experiment with another line.

Solid, but unexceptional cruise by shari134

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

The Equinox is a well appointed ship with a great gym, but we sorely missed the Cellar Master wine lounge that we so enjoyed on the Equinox's sister ship, the Silhouette.  Cellar Master was a wonderful place to get a very good glass of wine in a quiet environment.  The perfect spot for a pre-dinner drink.  We also missed The Porch which was a lovely and quiet place to have breakfast. Again, The Porch was available on the the Silhouette, but not the Equinox.  Both Cellar Master and The Porch were replaced on the Equinox with areas we did not enjoy nearly as much.

Greece and Turkey were the highlights on this trip.  Due to current events, Celebrity chose not to make Istanbul a port of call, but opted to stay at sea.  I would rather be safe than sorry and appreciate Celebrity's caution.  Of course, I was sad not to visit Istanbul.

The food on the Equinox was typical cruise fare.  Nothing spectacular, but nothing to complain about.  The two other specialty dining restaurants failed to impress, but The Tuscan Grill was fantastic.  Undoubtedly some of the best steaks we've had.  We like it so much, we opted to eat there three times on this cruise.  The view from Tuscan Grill is spectacular!

Celebrity Mediterranean Cruise by dbutler7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Enjoyed the cruise staff, very friendly. Wish shore excursions did not meet so early , would have been nice to break up ports with sea days. Also, many of the ports were extremely crowded due to multiple ships in port at the same time. In Florence, did not have  time to enter any museums-long lines, only three hours, and tour took you to a leather factory. We upgraded to five nights of specialty  restaurants. Tuscan Grill was our favorite and really did not care for Murano. I would recommend this cruise.
