Refreshing!! by DianaR

The ship was clean and beautiful. Some of the fabircs looked dated and some of the towels were a little ratty but in general things looked spiffy. The common areas were generously-proportioned and breezy, and I liked very much that the ship in general was not over-air-conditioned.

really fun cruise with great ports by KellyC2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

this is a very nice ship. very clean. great ports, with croatia, turkey and greece. excellent staff. however, everything on the ship was really, really expensive. also, everyone tried to upsell everything on the ship. also, there is a "cover charge" or forced gratuity charged at the end of the cruise. this amount is 24 dollars a day per person. 12 goes to staff and 12 goes to housekeeping. i don't know about you, but i think 48 dollars per day per room (4 person occupancy) is way, way too high. basically, ncl is forcing us to directly pay their employees. this is simply unfair. also, never actually told us this, so it came as a big suprise.

Norwegian Jade by JonT

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Overall the cruise was great. Loved the food and entertainment. Only big downfall was how people would 'claim' lounge chairs with towels and then leave them for hours. It's not a reflection on the cruise, just on people and how annoying they are. However, the cruise staff could do a better (or any) job of policing it.

Nice cruise by Paulj1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

I noticed the entertainment at the pool area was almost non existent would have been nice to have music playnig. The crew was fantastic and the food also. The fact that the pictures were so expensive made it not worth it...We would have bought at least 5 pictures if not for $20.00 each! $10.00 is fair. Also the Bingo is a joke. Pay $20.00 to sit in a room of 200+ people who payed the same for a chance to win $300.00???? Somebody is getting REALLY greedy! To bad because bingo can be so much fun. Otherwsie the cruise was great!

Wonderful experience by ShermanY

We didn't expect much other than an above-average cruising experience since this is our 1st "Free Style" cruising trip. The Jade offers more than we can expect.

Best Cruise Yet by KyleM1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Splendour of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The ship wasn't too huge. It had two pools, an adequate number of loungers, nice theater and lounge for shows and activities. There were four hottubs, but they closed early, but a pool was always open. The casino does not have a craps table. There is only one kitchen for the dining room, so service is sometimes a little slow during the main dinner seating. Food was available until late and the ship has 24 hr room service (fee between midnight and 5 am). Didn't use the fitness center or rock climbing wall.

Trying something new by KevinP12

Sail date: /
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

I have been on may ships before and when I walked on I was like this is great. Then it came to the food it was like. Make it as fast as you can and get it out there.. Like I said I cruise often. The captain of the ship made his first PA . he clearly said WELCOME ABOARD , BLA BLA BLA , WHEN I MEAT YOU ALL PLEASE DON'T SHAKE MY HAND.... WOW he could have fist pumped if he didn't want to shake hands. Anyways when you walk around with kids there's not to much to do with them on this ship. Staff was very nice ,but kids need more then that . Carnival has stuff to do every ten steps.. But that's a different story.. Ports were ok but the ship never told you that by 1pm or so everything shuts down for the day. SO get off early if you want to see anything or go into shops..

Stay away from MSC Cruises! by RossM1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Magnifica / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Food was unimaginative and unappetizing unless you like pizza and pasta. Meats were few and far between. Portions were small. Buffet was uninspiring. And, service staff acted like they could care less. This is unfortunate, as the ship, itself, is beautiful. Selection of tours was very limited. Very few activities. Makes Carnival look like Crystal!

Excellent Crusie by Stephen80775907

Our first cruise, length and destinations were at the high end of expectations. For such a large ship the location and accessability of everything was very good.

all they want is more of your money by MarnaB

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

the actual ship was wonderful, but then they took a fabulous facility and tried to make it tacky. the only good part of the design was the artwork throughout the ship. food in the main diningroom was mediocre on its best day. extra charges on everything were over the top. definitely NOT to be repeated.

A great cruise! by RickM4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

This was our first cruise, so without knowing what to expect, we were happily surprised with pretty much everything. We had a great time seeing the shows, meeting people, and just relaxing on our balcony. We really enjoyed the personal attention we received from our stateroom attendant, and the head waiter at our dining room table. The staff on Voyager were great at providing many excellent activities, shows, and dining experiences, and promoted a fun "do what you want" atmosphere. Thanks to their expertise, we will definitely be cruising again!
