11 Day Greece, Turkey, Venice by alamode35

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We enjoyed this cruise, although our cabin 3108, was located underneath the lounge and every night between 3:15-3:45 AM we would hear banging which would awaken us. The people who cleaned would be moving chairs and other furniture and it was so loud it sounded like they were throwing the chairs across the lounge.  I complained at the Help Desk twice and was told they would do something. The night before we disembarked, there was a letter on my bed offering me 25% off on my next Royal Caribbean cruise within a year. Since I don't take a cruise every year, this offer is useless and shows how little Royal Caribbean cares that my daughter and I were awakened every night by the racket going on above us. I inadvertently omitted how wonderful our steward, Ricky, was and what a terrific assistant server, Tetiana, was.  She has a great personality, was very efficient, and we had so much fun talking to her.

This was the best vacation we have been on, to date. We loved the stops we made, and felt like it was a good variety of Greece. The staff was wonderful, and it was a great experience.

Fantastic Cruise - Shame about the Crowded Deck by Cruiser90922647

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We have cruised many times before as we were taking my sister and her partner we chose a Royal Caribbean as they are a good all rounder.  We were not disappointed, we had a fabulous time, my sister and her partner are converted.  The best things about it was the itinerary lovely islands to step off to, Petros the pelican on Mykanos, shopping in Kusadasi. The lovely restaurant where we were made very welcome each evening, we loved the piano bar and got to know the pianist very well, trying all of the cocktails (we had a free drinks package).  We normally have a balcony but we went for an outside this time and I did not miss it as much as I thought, the room was lovely as was our attendant.

My only criticism was the crowded decks on the  3 sea days. It was very difficult to find sun beds, even walking around was difficult and as my partner is blind it was a problem.  We have booked with Celebrity for next year because of this problem

Over all fantastic if they could just fix the sun bed problem

Best trip ever by jced66

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Seabourn Odyssey / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Seabourne is the way to go. Very organized. Courteous staff and excellent service. Got to enter ports big ships could not go. Little extra touches like a tablecloth on your veranda table with room service. People knowing your name. Remembering our preferences. Excellent food. Birthday surprise! Can't compare to the big cruise lines. I will not go any other way now that I've had the Seabourne experience.

Our overall experience with the Adriaatic CruiseThe by felixjmartinez

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The Jade is not a recent made ship though will not call it an old ship. It has maintained its charm and character. It is detailed maintained making it a friendly place to move around for seven days.  The crew is top class, friendly and caring.Happy

Time to Set Sail by ambermatt76

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Mediterranea / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

This was my husband and I's first international cruise. We took a chance booking with COSTA as we had never heard of the cruise line. The cruise turned out to be perfect! Costa provided excellent customer service. The food in the restaurant was awesome and excellent options. I loved the desserts! The buffet was okay. It was a little too crowded and guest had difficulty in understanding the concept of lines. The ship was very clean. Our room had a balcony in which we were upgraded to and it was perfect for relaxing  before bed. We took part in three excursions provided by the ship and they were full of wonderful insight and information into each port. They were a little rushed, as allot of the ports were. Overall our experience with Costa was excellent and I would recommend the cruise line to friends and family. I only have one negative comment and that was the last port of Dubrovnik was way to short for such a beautiful place. I felt the stops in the port could have been longer or maybe cut out the Trieste stop. Other than that everything was thumbs up! Looking forward to our next cruise with Costa!

7 night Adriatic Cruise - from Venice, IT to Athens GR by mikeschneider1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

Simply fantastic I would travel with NCL again.  From our mini suite to the staff all was 1st class.  The specialty dining was a nice option to get away from the buffets

NCL 7-DAY GREECE AND CROATIA CRUISE by Loveli

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

This cruise with Norwegian, should not be a honeymoon option! I gave it three stars because of the ports. Spend at least 3 days in Venice, it is one of the most beautiful cities you will ever see. Old Dubrovnik is beautiful! A must see for Game of Thrones fans, yes I went on the GOT tour..."Shame, shame, shame...." is that enough of a hint?! Santorini, spectacular, you don'the need a good camera/ smart phone to take great pics, it is beautiful everywhere you look. The Acropolis in Athens, Zeus' monument, and first Olympic Stadium, amazing...all cities, very, very, hot in the summer! As for ship, food was great everywhere....and so were the kids! Children were able to monopolize the pools, hot tubs, and clubs at night, where alcohol is served. There were curfews in venues for 'no kids' (11 p.m.) but they were not enforced by Norwegian management.....Not so quiet in the 'Quiet Spaces'. I was able to craft a relaxing vacation by booking a stateroom with a balcony; a must!

Mum , Dad, 17 and 14 year old's all had a fab time! by Cruiser73249699

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

From start to finish it was excellent.

Everything seems so effortless / there's a calmness amongst the crew which creates a great environment to relax and enjoy the experience.

The food / crew / entertainment FIRST class!

Our only complaint was the size of the swimming pools ( 2 pools but should just be one) and how salty it was. You could float without any effort!

Everything was very good. I enjoy al the ports take some tours and in Myconos and  Argostoli you have to bring your swimming suit so you can enjoy the beach in those places.

Awful food and service and dirty glass on balconies by raghubir

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Costa Mediterranea / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

This has to go down as the worst cruise liner possible.

The food was inedible -- they could not even do scrambled eggs or pasta properly. Everything was frozen though we were sailing through the Adriatic where great fish is available in every port.

They charged for everything that was remotely edible and even things like pizza and gelato had to be paid for.

Most of the service staff were incompetent and grouchy (with some exception).

The salon/ spa was a rip off operation only to sell you additional products. Had the WORST blow dry of my life. The guy did not know that one takes a few strands and pulls them straight. He just pulled my hair under the dryer.

Awesome Cruise by jperchak

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Destination of the cruise was very good, interesting ports of call. Good service on the ship. They don't provide toiletries anymore, which was a surprise. Very good entertainment. Shows in the theater were not very good, but dance parties and all of the cruise director staff entertainment were the best. This was older ship. Food is outstanding, small portions, good variety, lots of vegetarian options and they even make suggestions on the menu if you are watching your calories intake. Not enough beach chairs, it was impossible to find a chair in the middle of the day, only if you get up before 9:00 AM. Would definitely recommend this cruise to others.

My Venice & Geek Island Cruise by Cruiser852

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Overall, our trip was great.   It seems to cater to the more active set, but not necessarily the younger set.  We saw a lot of older brave souls taking many of the tours.  While each of the ports were really fantastic, a lot of the tours involved lots of walking and climbing which hampered those who really wouldn't be able to keep up with the group.  However, in their favor, they did a great job of describing the tours which prevented signing up for a tour that might well have been difficult to fully participate by some guest.  .

Great Cruise-family fun by dmanrrique

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

This was a great family cruise that had great customer service.  Our last Norwegian cruise on the epic unfortunately had poor customer service, except in the "pay-extra" locations.

The crew to passenger ratio was right on the Norwegian Jade and it made a huge difference and we had great service everywhere we went.  The kids had a great time with the  youth program and my wife and me had a great time at other activities and then when we met back up there were plenty of family friendly events we could enjoy together.  Friendly staff with a great travel itinerary, overall the family had a great time and it will be a vacation to remember.
