It was nice but the boat rocking constantly and then tipping twice was a little scary. by janetpoyfair

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Voyager of the Seas

The cruise was a nice experience. The weather was disappointing which caused cancellations and scary moments. The crew was very professional and kind hard workers. They definitely made the cruise a pleasant experience.

Most public toilets ran out of toilet paper and hand soap during the day. No football coverage on Sunday. The wi fi did not work for 85% of the cruise. No Key West stop. The smoking in the casino was so bad, I did not gamble. Bottled water should be included in all inclusive package.

Some things were great, other things were a disappointment by Girlsgroup

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Sky

There were a lot of great things such as the outstanding food and drinks, and friendly staff. Then there were some not so good things like a broken WIFI so no one could connect for the entire trip. It would not even let guests text each other on the ship, because their NCL app didn't work either. We had a very sick father at home with no way to speak with the doctor for 2 days until we got to Mexico. They also would not show the big NFL playoff games that everyone wanted to watch. The ships that passed us had it on their jumbo screens. Not sure why the private Island Port was cancelled, however it also added an extra cost in the Bahamas for activities, and transportation.

cruise review by kjrmartini

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Norwegian Sky

The ship is old not up to the normal quality of NCL, few amenities shows were good but repetitive drinks were good food was average at best. There were 10 of us so we had a good time despite, so decent value for the money would not book on a older ship again rather pay more for more for newer ship with more amenities.

Great Caribbean Cruise by lipa328

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Seashore

Overall we are very happy and satisfied with this cruise. The personnel are friendly and helpful. The buffets are a little disappointed with similar food selections for the entire cruise.

Not my favorite ship, VERY BIG (4400 pass.) Poor design, that is why they only made one in this class. by hgavend

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic

We missed 2 ports, which made us go to Cozumel twice so that is a bummer. Food and staff were very good but too many people on a poorly designed ship.

Disappointed by civiline23

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Epic

I was disappointed, have cruised before with NCL but due to booking with was not able to pick my room and that was disappointing as the room assigned was very small. Also the facilities on the ship are too small For the number of passengers, unable to get reservations for restaurants or get seating at venues. Unable to stop at 2 islands due to weather issues and the excursion to chichenitza that was highlight of my trip, was also cancelled. All and all I feel I wasted my money on this cruise.

The Epic, not the best cruise by kathnjim

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic

This was a most disappointing cruise. Long lineups and waits to be served. Even the waiters circulating the casino, atrium, pool deck, too few, several times we just didn't hang around long enough to receive a drink. Customer service, we waiting in line, only to be told we had to wait in a different line, and once finished were told to go back to the original line. Internet service was rotten. Lost my 150 minutes first day because the app wouldn't let me log off, I went to internet cafe for assistance, but there was always long lineups - I didn't go on a cruise to spend my day in lineups. My wife purchased the unlimited, so we used her data, and I never bothered to try to get my 150 minutes back. She couldn't log off either, but it was unlimited so it was only an irritation that we couldn't switch phones. Took two days to get the bath robes that were supposed to come with cabin, despite customer services telling us they would provide them right away. They threatened folk with a 25$ charge if they didn't return towels to the main towel station, even though they had bins where you could drop off used towels. NCL had different rules for this ship. No drinks pool side or hot tub side. We were on the Escape a week before, and they served you at pool side etc.,. On Escape, you could have a meal at the bar that surrounded/looking down to the atrium, on Epic they refused to serve food at that location. Its not a ship I would recommend to anyone.

Bad weather, Good cruise by snickellky

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic

NCL cancelled Belize as a port before sailing and would charge us 75% penalty to rebook a cruise with Belize as a port. Then weather caused the cancellation of the private island and another port. So only went to 2 of 4 ports. Then the Delta experience excursion was terrible. But NCL did add more on board activities since we had more days "at sea". They also gave us $50 ship credit. Food was good and ship was good. I would not sail the Epic again due to small entertainment venues (entertainment was very good) and not book excursions through Delta. We did have fun, but it did not meet expectations.

Mostly at sea. Epic's age is showing by Chazdog

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic

I would sail Epic again, but not for more than a few days. There just wasn't enough to do on board for free for 7 days, especially when 2 ports were skipped. They could do a better job an enforcing rules like no personal loud speakers and vaping in specified areas, as well as improving the pool bar wait times (put a bar on the 18th deck), but the food was decent, and the staff did their duties. No AFT balcony ever again, though.

Would have been nice except we didn’t get to stop at two of our four ports. by ihavenoidea

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Epic

We were disappointed that we couldn’t visit Great Stirrup Cay and Costa Maya because of rough seas. We had to move up our Cozumel port and that caused us to miss an excursion we had booked. Then we went back to Cozumel for a second time. That meant we missed half of our ports. So for the inconvenience, we were given a $50. non refundable credit to use on board. I thought that was really tacky!

It was the usual RCCL cruise by ras4436

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Explorer of the Seas

The ship was full with lots of children, I don't understand as it was the last week in January with no vacations that I could think of. This made the ship feel like a playground, I am talking couples with 4 to 6 kids. The pools were always crowded & you could never find space in the hot tubs. It was typical RCCL cruise, nothing really bad or nothing really great.

So many additional charges! by costanmax

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

Plan to get away from the nearby port especially the cruise owned shops. Take a taxi and have fun with the locals if you can still find them.
