We are sorry that we chose this cruise for our only vacation this year!
Embarkation
1 out of 5
We were held up at check in for about 40 minutes. The attendant entered something wrong that caused serious delays.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food was fine. It was the exact same breakfast everyday on the buffet. It got old after about day 3. Specialty restaurants were great especially the Teppanyaki. Service at the buffet for drinks was lackluster. It felt like we were bothering the staff when requesting a drink from the bar. Other cruise lines are happy to grab the drinks for you...
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
There was never a chair available at the pool. The spa service was nice, however, the staff try and sell you products during your service. I felt this to be a little tacky.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
From what we saw, the entertainers were good.
Children's Programs
No kids traveling with us.
Service and Staff
1 out of 5
Wait staff in specialty restaurants were excellent. However, we had poor experiences with the waiters in the buffet area, room stewards, guest services and the excursion desk. The staff definitely have limitations to their abilities to help a guest. We were in a handicapped room due to my moms limitations. Our room was not ready at 3PM when the announcement came on to tell us that the rooms were ready. We were sent away, and when we came back about an hour later, no one was to be found. We had trouble working the cabin lighting, and no one was there to ask. When I called the desk, it felt as if I was bothering them. There was one day where the cabin steward came in and we were napping (it is vacation by the way) he excused himself even though we told him it was fine to grab the towels and trash. He never returned...we had to call the desk for towels and paper products... Disembarkation was also an issue. There were no provisions for helping a person with disabilities to get off the ship in time to catch the flights that Norwegian booked. The only way for us to make the flights on time was if we carried off our luggage. How does one person do that for two guests, one of which is handicapped and in a scooter? I ask, why does this cruise line not prioritize their passengers with accessibility issues? It was shameful! Possibly illegal...
Ship Quality
1 out of 5
This ship is due for a renovation. It was obvious. Certain elevators did not stop at certain floors and that was confusing and frustrating.
Cabin / Stateroom
2 out of 5
Size was great for a handicapped accessible cabin. We unfortunately had to call and have maintenance come because the lighting was not working.
Appreciate your detailed feedback. Sorry you had so many issues. It’s interesting that you were frustrated with the lack of choices for breakfast, last cruise I had oatmeal almost every morning in spite of the choices.🤪
