Review summary

There were a lot of great things such as the outstanding food and drinks, and friendly staff. Then there were some not so good things like a broken WIFI so no one could connect for the entire trip. It would not even let guests text each other on the ship, because their NCL app didn't work either. We had a very sick father at home with no way to speak with the doctor for 2 days until we got to Mexico. They also would not show the big NFL playoff games that everyone wanted to watch. The ships that passed us had it on their jumbo screens. Not sure why the private Island Port was cancelled, however it also added an extra cost in the Bahamas for activities, and transportation.

Some of the performances were very good. The coordination was not altered when it rained, and venues were not altered to fit the number of people indoors. Also, when the Key West port stop was cancelled, they did not add indoor activities, or on the dayt it was so windy that they could not put out the pool chairs.

Many public bathrooms were a mess. Some were flooded. There was another that had water pouring down on your head when you sat on the toilet, so I had to return to dinner with a very wet head.

Ship tip

The food was outstanding both in the restaurants and on the buffet. The open bar was much more than I expected with high end liquor used without asking for it.

We paid for transportation to a private beach which was nice, However I worry about the safety there. The couple that didn't make it back to the ship were found dead, and I worry about what really happened, even though it said they were in an accident.

The port is a lot cleaner than I can remember. I heard there have been safety issues, so we did not venture out too far when we saw the guys walking around with machine guns.

Disembarkation

On the return there were so many ships in at one time that the Ubers were on a 2 hour delay, and the Rental car van was always full. Some were waiting hours to be picked up, but that wasn't really the cruises fault. Just something to keep in mind.

Wow. Being unable to get in touch when needed is very upsetting. And the long wait for an Uber at the end of your trip isn’t so good either. Glad some things went well tho.
