Fabulous Alaskan cruise by Cruiser49400443

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Solstice / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Having never been to Alaska the whole trip was exciting to us. The land and views were spectacular. All of our excursions went without a hitch. The whale watching was fun; however, the white pass train ride was the highlight. We enjoy hiking and took advantage of the trails.

Beautiful Cruise by gabysmommy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

We were very pleased with our cruise on Ovation. The staff was very friendly and worked hard to make sure we were having a great time. The ship was clean. It's a very beautiful ship that looks like it is very well taken care of. The ports of call were perfect and the excursion options were plentiful. We were very happy with the options available to us.

Loved our trip. Incredible experience! by hermanrsanchez

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Quantum of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Loved the entire experience. Only disappointed by the fact that there was no latin music onboard this ship. Every other RCL ship we have been on has had incredible latin music.

Alaskan Cruise by sjj0001

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Quantum of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Internet was very bad. Less than 50% of the time it worked. Scenery was excellent. Food was good. Icy Strait Point was extremely disappointing and Victoria could’ve been better had it not been so late on a Sunday when hardly anything was open and we had such little time.

Alaska is Amazing! by cherylunplugged

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Quantum of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

This was our first trip to Alaska and we loved it! Roundtrip from Seattle was a great way to see enough of Alaska to wet our appetite and plan for an extended trip to the interior in the future.

Relaxing & wonderful by marlb0r0

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Discovery Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Going home is always a mix of emotions, love being away on a cruise it relaxes me. On the other hand, going home stresses me out. I am looking forward to our next cruise, it cannot come fast enough.

Alaska Princess Discovery 5/29/22 by Seafarinchick

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Discovery Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Including Seattle as part of our trip was a definite plus, scenery is beautiful. When four cruise ships are going to ports at the same time, scared most sea life away. End of May lucked out with beautfiul days. Was told more wildlife would be seen when the salmon started running end of June/July. The aurora borealis is best viewed the last two weeks of September.

plans ruined by last minute itinerary change by Princess cruise line by moonj

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Princess cruise changed the itinerary 3 times and the last change was the day before embarkation. That messed up our plans and caused us to miss our excursion to Mendenhall glacier in Juneau and they skipped the port of Icy Strait Point. I feel like our once in a life time Alaska trip has been damaged a lot because of the sudden changes by the cruise line.

A disappointing cruise by rogberg

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

We decided to go on a cruise for our 25th anniversary. We chose the Crown Princess and this specific itinerary so we could experience the inside passage and Ketchikan, but both were cancelled in the days leading up to the cruise and we saw neither.

Beautiful Alaska by luyano728

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Bliss / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

The Bliss is a wonderful ship and Alaska is extremely beautiful, even majestic. We enjoy the cruise. Everyone should visit this lovely and remote place. We were recommended by friends to winter clothes and rain gear but the weather cooperated and it was sunny and 60 degrees every day. It never rained. We saw snow covered mountains, lots of bald eagles and the tail of a whale. Loved every minute!

Great trip by pippi1903

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

It was a good trip with beautiful weather. Disappointed that the Bliss was docked the farthest from the port every time. It really affected our time in port.

Arbitrary covid requirements ruined first cruise experience. by BigEdna

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Covid can still ruin your cruise. My other party members, who I never saw, caught Covid on the cruise, while my family denied boarding from what we suspect was a false positive IN PORT, minutes before we were supposed to sail.

Alaska is beautiful! Ovation of the Seas is great, but too big. Many COVID cases on board. by TravelNomad

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

The cruise was great. The food was great. The crew was great. Health and safety common-sense needs to be practiced by passengers who are coughing, sneezing, etc. Just cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze. It's that simple. COVID is still around! Washing hands just before going to the buffet is not enough. I don't like wearing a mask, but I wear one when I am among crowds. I have travelled extensively since the COVID travel ban was lifted first for the airlines in 2020, then the cruise lines in 2021. So far in 2022 we have taken two international land trips, and three cruises prior to this one. This is the first time both of us came home with COVID after this cruise. We have always tested negative for COVID each time on our international trips, the day before we re-entered the US by air. From what I have read, many people were infected with COVID on this cruise, Ovation of the Seas that sailed from Seattle on May 27, 2022. For the time being I will try to stay away from RCL because I am not confident about the health and safety protocols. I will sail on smaller vessels with the other cruise lines that I have been on and came home well.
