The process was pretty easy, had to wait in a large holding area before we could board the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
As usual RCC service was great in the dining room, we had a table for two with a window view

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The North Star is cool, the free version is only available in port and you sign up on the app, tip, you have to be on the free Wi-Fi or the zoom to make appointments, if the wind is to high on a sea day it doesn’t work

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Our favorite places to hang out on the Ovation, the Music Hall and The schooner bar. The band Switched On was amazing! Great show cover tunes from the 70-90’s. Also had DBS a Journey cover band that did one show in the Royal Theater and then moved to the music hall.

Different layout than other ships we have need on, it’s a beautiful ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

We knew we had an obstructed view going in so it was ok, the arm of the life boat lift is in the way, you can still see out snd you have a backward facing view and a larger balcony, room was clean with a hair dryer and a tea pot for boiling water

Ship tip

Zoom internet is sketchy because of where you go, sun comes up at 3:45am and goes down at 20:00pm,late may early June

Mendenhall glacier, whale watching and wildlife quest! Wes was our bus driver great guy! Plenty of room on the boat to look and move around, saw whales and sea lions, no orcas. Snacks and drinks are not included, they do have them onboard

White pass railway! Incredible views, still had snow on the ground and the lake at the top of the pass was still frozen! If you can do the 11:30 ride and go to town first thing it’s not as busy

Sitka, Alaska

We used the airport express check out. Filled out the paperwork, Thursday night they took our luggage and printed our boarding passes. Made it back to Dallas Friday night, luggage made it too!
