Alaska - Inside Passage Cruise Reviews

This was our first cruise as a couple and we treated it as our honeymoon since we got married during Covid19 pandemic. This trip met all of our expectations, the weather was just gorgeous, the ocean was smooth sailing, the mountains and ports of call were breathtaking.

i purchased a bubbles card for pop and had to go to the bar everytime, basically no place to get one for breakfast no bars open and bars cater to people buying drinks ignoring you for pop.

I booked this trip to celebrate my 70th birthday with my two grown daughters. Had I known that I could do this directly with Holland America and not through Cheap Cruises with a travel agent who 1) only worked from 5:00pm - 2:am, 2) was great until I paid in full, 3) didn't respect what I tried to tell her regarding my missing passport (she was very cavalier regarding this problem) and would promise to call me at certain times and not call, etc. She kept telling me not to worry about the lost passport -- that she could get it expedited 2 weeks before I left. All I had to do was call the Passport Office in Chicago and make an appointment. I kept telling her that this was stressing me out and that I was afraid there would be no appointments. "Oh, you might have to drive somewhere if that happens," she said. I'm 70 years and this didn't seem to enter her mind that having to drive somewhere might not be an option. So 14 days out we call and sure enough no appointments in Chicago! and...they said I had to call back tomorrow as they wouldn't make appointments unless it was 13 days out! Obviously, she hadn't done this as much as she claimed. I called the next day and was then told, "No, Chicago is completely booked. Let me see where I can get you an appointment. Oh, you can go to Aurora, Colorado on June 25 at 10;30 am. Don't be late." We had tickets to fly from Chicago to Vancouver the next day. Well, this wasn't going to happen, as I knew that kind of stress would make me sick (cold or such) from traveling like that. I realize that losing my passport is my problem but I truly feel that she should have given me names of companies that could expedite passports. Luckily, I found one, but it cost me a lot of money and would not have cost as much had I known about them (they are international) and done this sooner. This woman (India McKnight) in my humble opinion is not organized, incompetent and rude (always had an excuse and never could apologize for anything). She is the reason I will never use your company again.

A very memorable cruise experience that we shared with our 15 year old grandson.

Great destination coupled with the amazing glacier bay day. Dinner crew was amazing and was one of the highlights on the ship. Breakfast was really inconvenient due to limited variety and time restaurant is open. Room steward was really struggling with all workload. Nothing to do in Ketchikan - perhaps there are better ports or longer time in others. Great vacation overall. Comments are aiming to improve.

I think the medallion needs some work. I liked that it allowed for easy access on and off the ship/ in and out of the room. But using it other than that took too much time and effort! Example: I spent about 2 hours trying to figure out how to upload photos! No directions that I could find. Same with making dinner reservations.

This was our first time cruising in Alaska, and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. This ship is beautiful with many amenities. We enjoyed every port of call.

We had the most wonderful time! We were treated like royalty on the Royal Caribbean!

Was an amazing first experience. It was a bit crowded at times especially in the main public areas, but I have never had service and entertainment of such an amazing caliber before. I would absolutely recement it to others.

Good ship , good service , but food needs to improve.

Great cruise from every aspect. Beautiful ship. The only negative is the internet and wifi service. Wifi not available in may part so the ship and not reliable. The app is not user friendly and confusing. Also, the 150 minutes (part of the Free at Sea pkg) is a tricky one because if you don't logout every time, it keep eating up your minutes.

if not expecting the moon its a good trip. plenty of food to eat staff works hard but a bit slower than used to

Our trip was hassle free from start to finish and we felt confident that we were in great hands if we ran into any issues. Our family expected this to be a once in a lifetime trip, but now we can't wait to go back!

Heck of a first cruise. While I don’t have anything to compare it to, I definitely will be doing another.

Unfortunately, this was my first and last cruise with the Princess cruise lines. I felt that the staff and food was subpar all the way around.

The Discovery Princess Alaska cruise was fun and enlightening. It was great seeing over 3,100 new cruisers and 600 cruisers under 18. The Discovery Princess team is amazing.

The cruise liner’s rules for guest tiers are confusing, and not acceptable. This needs improvement. The process of booking shore excursions needs improvement too.,
