The Beverly Hills/Beaches Tour is a great way to spend 5 hours if you have a late flight. We learned some history, walked around an art show, had lunch at a food truck, and rode the Ferris Wheel on the Santa Monica pier. It was a great value considering we would have paid for transportation to the airport anyway. Plus NCL applies the $50 excursion credit.

Took a disembark tour through Princess to Long Beach. Nothing really in the San Pedro area (was also there 4 weeks ago boarding a cruise). This tour took you to the main part of Long Beach near The Outlet stores and of course within a few 100 metres of Long Beach itself. You are there around 4 hours on this tour and bags are safely secured in the bus while awaiting transfer to LAX. The Outlet stores are great value with quality items and shops, Columbia, Nike, Maceys, Gap, Converse to name a few. Thete is also a gree local shuttle to take you around the Long Beach atea to the Queen Mary and other sites. We were so impressed by the Long Beach area that we returned here pre cruise a month ago and stayed in an amazing boutique hotel which provided free bikes and for 2 days we had a blast biking around Long Beach atea and shopping again at the Outlet of course

Stayed at the Double Tree at the marina before and after the cruise. Fun area to hang out, but also took an Uber to Long Beach (15 mins), and had a great time there as well.

Toured the battleship Iowa. That's a pretty cool experience. Stayed at the Best Western in Pedro. Good place to stay. Free shuttle and much cheaper parking then cruise port. Town itself is older and kind of run down.

Was in LA and San Pedro for a few days before cruise. Host Hotel of Crown Plaza was nothing special. I paid less for two night next to DisneyLand and it was in the same shape as CP. the scooter rentals were a blast. And Universal, Halloween Horror Nights, and Disneyland were all great as usual. I had a great adventure traveling on public transportation from Anaheim to Universal City and back and for this MS guys it was a blast.

Busy area. Lots of traffic. We only stayed overnight here at the Crown Plaza. We drove to the port the day before to ensure we could get to the ship on time. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the ship and they let you park there for up to 15 days for no extra charge. You need to get the park and cruise package. Worked very well for us.
