Review summary

I probably will not do the Mexican Riviera Cruise again, as I was not impressed by the ports, except Cabo! But will sail the Emerald Princess again, as the staff and crew were awesome.

Embarkation

It was our first time being Platinum, so we were able to skip the line. But the normal line wasn't as long as I've seen in previous cruises.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food and Drinks were delicious. I purchased the All Inclusive Beverage Package.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Visited the pool daily and took in a couple games of Bingo, which we won, but had to split the winnings with another person. :) The cruise was a VIP Casino cruise, so their were 300+ VIP Casino members on board and in the casino all of the time. They were given a lanyard to wear around their necks, so the staff could identify them. If you didn't have one of those lanyards you weren't getting drink services or walk up bar service before all of them. The Casino staff was overwhelmed.

Entertainment

Took in 3 shows in Princess Theatre. Great acts. Ric Steel was awesome!

Cabin / Stateroom

The steward, Suriyan, was great!! No complaints there! The cabin door is right across the hallway from the service corridor. So, when the baggage going on and off the ship, it's right outside your door. The service elevators for the interior is also in this corridor, so you hear the ding of the elevators. The rolling of the carts at 5:30AM coming out of the service corridor and all of the stewards congregating the morning before their "shift" begins. This is a VERY loud room. I will stay a way from this section of rooms in the future!

Ship tip

Really liked the Emerald.

Mexican Riviera - lol. That was my first cruise some 30+ years ago. All I remember is how hot it was, but a good time since I was with many California relatives. Special crew/ ship memories too. But HOT!!
