A: Not sure if you’ve already booked the Hilton at LAX but if not I’d recommend staying in San Pedro near the port. When we leave from San Pedro we always stay at the Crowne Plaza however there are other hotels in the area. The Crowne Plaza is less than... a mile from the port. A: Long Beach is closer and much smaller than LAX. Easy to call a ride share or grab a taxi. Long Beach to San Pedro by ride share and taxi were close in price. The hotel was packed with other cruisers waiting for the shuttle so we opted to walk the ten minutes to the pier. We flew into the Long Be... ach airport and took a taxi to the hotel. A: There's a DoubleTree right by the port, but not much to do around there... you'd be better off booking a hotel somewhere in downtown Long Beach and booking a Lyft to the port. A: Both LAX and LGB are equally good to fly into. The Crowne Plaza on Palos Verdes ST, or the Doubletree are good choices. Not cheap, but very safe. Many cruise passengers stay at both properties.
