Anyone know what cell charges you might get on a Mexican Riviera cruise if you left your cell phone on the whole time? I just don’t want to miss important calls if I can help it.

I have T-Mobile and if you check with them, there are several places that have reciprocal coverage. I have been able to have my phone on in Mexico and most Caribbean islands. Just do NOT have it on while on the ship’

If you have TMobile and wifi on the ship you can make wifi calls while you are on the ship and in Mexico and many other countries you can get and make calls for a small cost per minute. The only place I have been where we didn't have service was Nepal, and you can't take a ship there!

If you have AT&T they offer an international plan. 10.00/day which includes cell, Wi-Fi and texting. Second family member is 5.00/day. Easy to sign up. The daily charge is not applied if you don’t use your phone that day.

Turn off you data when roaming in the settings - connections - mobile network screen. This way you'll only be charged for outgoing txt msgs ( incoming are free) and calls you make or pickup. You'll still have caller ID so you can decide which ones you answer.
