All in all we had a good time and we really enjoy princess cruise line
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Very quick and efficient. It took us about 20 mins from the time we were dropped off to the time we entered our room on the Ruby.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Our daily dining experience was very good and in the International cafe was good but sometimes there was not enough help with the coffee bar and desserts.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
We enjoyed the entertainment for the most part but we did notice there were not many different things. There was lots of trivia and games but not as much entertainment such as shows , musicians, ventriloquist or comedians as we are use to. On all other princess cruises we had a good mix of several things to do. It also seemed that the entertainment staff were left to keep us entertained instead of having guest on the boat. The best trivia/show that we enjoyed was the silly movie spoof which was so silly it was by far the funniest.
Entertainment

The smell of the cigarette smoke could still be smelt outside of the casino and was not contained inside of it. Something should be done like a vent that sucks up the smell so that can't be smelled outside of the casino. I avoided that area of the boat expect to go to the desk if we really needed help.
Children's Programs
3 out of 5
It seemed that not much was going on in the princess theater as could have been. As well the fusion was not utilized to its full potential. The explorers lounge was always so full it was hard to find space to sit and it seemed that most of the trivia/shows were in the explorers lounge which is not big enough.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Most of the service and staff were polite but when we got to our room 1 robe was missing and the tissues that are always in the bathroom had been placed on one of the night stands. So when I called our steward she said that laundry was still being done so that is why 1 robe was missing and they had not been putting the tissues in the bathrooms for a long time now and I said they were there last year when I went on a cruise so it had not been the long ago. She did bring us another box to put in the bathroom but we put them in ourselves. also our refrigerator was not working the first day and we had to have someone fix it and our remote for the tv stopped working and we had to have the replaced as well.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The design of the ship was similar to the other princess ships we have been on, But the hall where our room was located L102 there was always a caution sign up and there was always a smell like the carpet was wet which was right in front of our room. As well I have never seen dirtier stairs in the piazza area of a princess ship. There was always crumbs and junk on the stairs when we were using them. We did see someone clean them once near the end of the cruise and we commented that they were cleaning them because they were getting ready for people to board the boat on Saturday,
Cabin / Stateroom

This was the first time we decided to have an oceanview room and it was disappointing. The view was not the best and we could not keep our curtains open as it seemed there were always people outside of our window standing in front of our room so we kept our curtains closed most of the time. I know there was a film on the window but at night we didn't keep the curtain open as you could seen in our room if the light was on. Not worth the price we paid to have a window in our room.
We did the Hidden Treasures of Mexico and it was by far the best excursion we have ever been on with any princess cruise. Julio was very friendly and knowledgeable and passionate about all of us having a great experience. We also had a 90 yr old women and Julio helped to make sure she was helped and that she as well as all of us were have a great time. We can not say enough about our tour guides and the experience we had on this excision.
There were not many excursions to choose from but we did decide to do the Hop on Hop off and it was NOT worth the 50.00 a person we paid. As we were coming out of the port it was not a very nice area and did not look very safe. There were only 3 stops and the first one we did not feel safe to get off of the bus and the stop with the divers we were excited to see as the brochure said we would see a show and even on the tv for the hop on hop off it said we would see divers but to see the divers we would have had to pay 1 person to do 1 dive 20.00 AND we already paid 100.00 for the hop on hop off which was NOT WORTH the price we paid and we are disputing the charges with princess,
Cabo was very nice and the city was very clean. We took a taxi to do shopping area and for lunch at Guss. We were very impressed with how clan and nice the city was. We will come back here again to do more.
