We did an excursion that took us from the ship to the airport, stopping at Venice Beach and Santa Monica. Our tour guide was friendly and informative. Our tour driver, Brittany made driving in LA look easy. A very pleasant way to extend our vacation and get to the airport.

Be prepared for traffic leaving as the other cruisers are coming in.

Unfortunately the port is a long ways from the airport. For those cruiser that want to fly in a day early and/or layover a day after the cruise they must decide whether to stay near the dock or near the airport and transpiration cost today has gotten more expensive. Some Princess Mexican cruises are not leaving out of San Diego, which may be better for transportation purposes.

We took an Uber to LA to drop our uncle, then a bus to the port.
