Ensure to purchase a shuttle trip to airport before you leave. Quite conjested.

Vehicle traffic and congestion the port is a mess. They aren’t ready to handle such a big ship. Embarkation was a breeze but debarkation was a nightmare. Allow yourself 2 extra hours for debarkation and don’t be in a hurry.

Beautiful area. I never been to the West Coast so we were able to visit Hollywood. Did not do an excursion.

Long Beach is just a embarkation port. We had Carnival FTTF. I am only giving this port a 1 star review because there's no one to blame at this port for our luggage getting misplaced and barely making it on the ship in time before setting sail. Good thing my wife was on it and asked every 30 minutes about our luggage because maybe two says into the trip there was a flyer sent out about missing luggage. Again no one else to blame but the porters at the Long Beach terminal.
