Review summary

Enjoyed our short cruise with friends. Would recommend especially to first time cruisers or first time on Carnival. Hubby and I prefer more laidback style.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food and service was wonderful. Didn’t like being seated at large table with bunch of strangers. Plus being right next to extremely loud wedding party, 4 large tables, yelling throughout dinner. We requested a smaller table in a quieter area for the remaining time and enjoyed the rest of our cruise. They do have a celebration style preformance during some nights in dinning room.

Onboard Activities

Definitely geared for families or party people.

Cabin was clean and Steward was extremely nice.

Ship tip

Carnival is definitely a party atmosphere! It’s a beautiful ship, loved the Art Gallery. No refrigerator in rooms, I mention because our friend is diabetic and requested one to keep insulin in, they told him they ran out. The room steward kept fresh ice in their room to keep it cold. Our friends brought the small ice chest they kept it in during the car ride down.

Walked to town and back from port. Friendly shop staff. Enjoyed sampling different tequilas in a shop.

Really nice they were able to accommodate the seating change for dinner, now you know you can go ask first thing next time and avoid the awkwardness. Was the celebration in the dining room the “parade” of Baked Alaska? They did that on New Years cruise but I wasn’t sure if they brought it back for every sailing. I had remembered it from my very first cruise and really enjoyed seeing it again!
