I loved Key West! We took the conch train to tour the town and after awhile we hopped off and went on our own down Duvall Street which was cool, ate at Sloppy Joe's had a couple drinks, and browsed through some shops and returned to the ship. We were short on time but if you're not I recommend just walking down Duvall Street and walking or getting a taxi to the beach. It's just a few blocks. I didn't get to walk the beach but we did pass it on the train so I got pictures of it and the southern most point. If you are interested in the history then definitely do the tour. I would definitely go back to visit the beach and do a walking tour next time.

Nice to see it was not damaged by Irma. Operating as usual. We just walked around the town. Drawback was we were docked at the Navy yard, so needed to take a shuttle to town. However, the shuttles were great always going back and forth. Never needed to wait to catch a ride.

If you are just there for a few hours, just walk. We made it all the way to Hemmingway house and Key Lime Pie with time to spare.

Rent bikes & ride around to get Key Lime pie, conch fritters, see the lighthouse & aquarium, southernmost point in US.

on off bus was the best way to see key west. The butterfly museum was fantastic

Lots to do, fun place, but avoid the "Gold Silver Creations" jewerly shop on Green St. near the drop off point. Their items are falsely marked.
