Galveston was okay, the port wasn't very nice in my opinion and it was a bit chaotic.

Come in a day early and have fun in Galveston. Stay at the San Luis or Hotel Galvez and take the shuttles to and from the ship. Both hotels offer free parking for your car during your trip and free shuttles both ways.

The port is "OK". There is nothing wrong with it, it just doesn't look as beautiful as many other ports. Luckily you are only there for a short while.
