We love embarking in Galveston. This ship actually went to Costa Maya and Cozumel due to propulsion problems. Costa Maya was great - went to Maya Chan Beach Resort.

Galveston is fine. The public beaches are not so good, but maybe I was spoiled in Cozumel! Shopping is great. The downtown district has good food,

Very convenient port to sail in and out of. Very little traffic and convenient from Hobby airport...although we drove.

I like galveston, depending on where you are the beach is nice. Hotel Galvez is beautiful and great food locations

Good location for getting on and off the cruise ship. Parked directly across the street from the cruise terminal.
