Didn't spend much time here. Just a place to board the ship.

Nothing special - Galveston's port is kind of beat-up and the beaches, unlike Florida's sugar-sand, are as brown as the Bay's water is dirty.

the excursions was cool. I think it's the deluxe private beach, where they feed you and give you drinks in Progresso and please have tip money for them, they deserve it. This excursion was paid for once we got off the ship in Progresso. The catamaran was pretty cool it comes with snorkeling, I didn't do it but my other members did and they said the water is very cold. I decided to stay on and drink and take pictures of everyone else. Have tip money for them to. Just get you a lot on one dollar bills for tipping and just paying for things. that way you want have to use your debit card.

Went to The Spot. It’s a popular place to go. The food was good but otherwise not impressed.

First cruise, the port ran smoothly in and out no problems. Uber driver suggested Benno's for fresh seafood. It was good. Service was okay at best. The beach did look clean.

We used Port of Galveston parking--highly recommended! Easy parking and close to the ship. They shuttle you right to the port. We had a check in time of 1-1:30 for the Carnival Breeze. We walked into the terminal at 12:50 and we were checked in, through customs, and on the ship by 1:15. Getting off the ship was just as easy and the gentleman that drove the shuttle took us straight to our vehicle! Fast and friendly service! Great experience!

We flew in the day before and stayed at the hotel right at the pier...it was perfect! Were able to just walk over to the ship in the morning and there were plenty of restaurants to enjoy that night before. We didn't have too much time to explore the pier but I would of like too.
