Review summary

Would love to cruise out of Galveston again! I have never had an easier time getting on or off a ship. Yeah, the ship is on the smaller side considering the ships these days but for a 4 day cruise it is the perfect size! Staff was wonderful!! It was a perfect winter getaway!

Embarkation

Super fast!!! Very well organized...it probably took us a total of no more then 30 minutes to go from dropping off our luggage to being on deck! We got to the pier around 11:30am and there were no lines anywhere!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate at the buffet for breakfast and lunch each day...was very happy with the selection of things. Had the basic stuff available each day (pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs...) and the main buffets selection changed daily. We ate 2 dinners in the dining room and 2 dinners at the buffet. The food in the dining room was very good and a nice selection....I went with the head waiters recommendations and I was not disappointed. The dinners at the buffet were also very good....a lot to choose from.

Onboard Activities

Pools were great. Never felt over crowded. My husband used the gym and he was happy with the equipment that they had. I only wished they changed the movies on the big screen more...not a great selection.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
DJ on the pool deck was great! We also went to two stage shows and both were very entertaining.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room stewards were amazing! Our room was always in perfect order. The staff in the main dining room was great. We had a different wait staff each time we went but they we all very attentive. The staff in the Windjammer were all very friendly and helpful. The staff on the pool deck were incredible!! Always very quick to get things cleaned up!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very easy to get around and they had interactive displays boards on each deck so you can see what's going on or get directions. Purell everywhere, which I thought was great! Can never be too careful!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had an inside cabin, which can be on the small side but we never felt cramped. Plenty of closet and drawer space for what we needed so we felt very comfortable. Bathroom was small, but that was to be expected. I only wish there were a few more outlets....there was only 1 near the desk and I would of like one next to the bed.

Ship tip

It can be windy! Leaving Galveston was very windy and leaving Cozumel was equally as windy. I was talking to one of the bartenders and he said that is it always super windy leaving Cozumel. Also, make dinner reservations if you want to go to the dining room...they can get very busy!

Ports of call

We flew in the day before and stayed at the hotel right at the pier...it was perfect! Were able to just walk over to the ship in the morning and there were plenty of restaurants to enjoy that night before. We didn't have too much time to explore the pier but I would of like too.
