Galveston cruise terminal is not as fancy as some but it was oh so smooth. RCI has a good system in place to get folks on easily. It helped that we were the 4th couple onboard to see the ship almost empty was cool.

Food and Dining

Chops was the bomb, the MaDR was good but we had two sort of “difficult” people at the table that made dinning a chore so we happily returned to Chops a few nights. Not RC fault.

Schooner Bar

We always love the Schooner Bar and Visions was no exception. Very attentive and never once did I have to sign a receipt (we had drunk packages). I did tip two of our favorites cash but they didn’t have an expectant attitude. Very nice folks.

Onboard Activities

Day 2 at sea the decks were closed due to high winds but even when the decks were open there is not really enough pool room outside. There is a nice Solarium though. The deck chairs are the old vinyl sling type and ropes too tightly to each other (I would like more than 1.5 inches between me and the guy next to me).

Couples deep tissue massage was awesome. I wanted to take our ladies home with us but my wife said no.

The shows were “ok” but nothing special. If you have seen “Boogie Wonderland” once, it’s the same on every ship. Broadway night was not that great but I am not a show type guy.

Huge frickin cabin. More room than most small apartments. It was very nice. Two televisions, more storage space than 4 women (or 8 men) could use, and a real shower and separate jetted tub. Good grief it was nice.
