Lots of really beautiful mansions. If you’re into Victorian buildings, definitely go visit one. We went to the Moody Mansion but there’s a few more in the island.

We found a really good burger joint on the Seawall this trip called The Spot. We will definitely make this a have to stop anytime we are in Galveston.

Always love Galveston. Great places to eat and visit. The plane museum and the train museum are great for adults and kids alike.

Galveston is a good town to expent a few days, lots of old mansions to visit, great restaurants, lovely seawall.

Love Galveston! Stayed the night before cruising. Getting on the ship was a breeze but the hour and a half wait in a line to get through customs was awful! Don't know that I will use this port again. We will probably visit Galveston again but don't know that I will cruise out of there again unless I see some improvements in the debarkation process.

Caution - duty free isn't duty free when you get back to this port. The local municipality/port sets up a taxation station to collect duty on liquor and cigarettes. If you get caught big fine for each item.
