Review summary

We enjoyed the cruise overall, but I really don’t think this would be a route that we choose again. Key West was fun, but we didn’t care for the stops in the Bahamas as much.

Embarkation

Super easy!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
I wasn’t impressed with the main dining experience on this trip. The staff were great, but the food was lacking.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There were a lot of people in the pools and hot tubs which made it hard to really enjoy the areas and just relax because they were always so full and nowhere to sit or lay down. The golf area was just redone and it was fun.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We watched Lip Sync Battle and it was the same songs as last year just different contestants. Kind of a let down, but it was fun. Our DJ Double D was hilarious. He definitely knows how to rock a party!

Children's Programs

No kids with us

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
I don’t know that I ever ran into any bar staff that were actually friendly. They all seemed very uptight and somewhat rude. The waiters in main dining were excellent and very concerned about each meal to make sure it was what you wanted. Our room steward was great. He was very shy and didn’t talk to us much.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was very clean. No matter where we went on the ship you always passed by someone cleaning an area.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We liked our cabin. It was just the right size for the 2 of us. Bathroom was a little tight, but we made it work.

Ship tip

Watch the bar prices if you’re a drinker. I never realized the bars have different prices on the same drinks.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

4 out of 5
We found a really good burger joint on the Seawall this trip called The Spot. We will definitely make this a have to stop anytime we are in Galveston.

Key West, Florida

5 out of 5
I loved Key West! It was one of my favorite ports to stop at in this trip. If you like to shop or hang out at local bars this port is for you. Wouldn’t mind going back here again.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

2 out of 5
We did a fishing excursion in Freeport which we enjoyed until everyone on the boat became sea sick because the waters were so rough, but I would do it again for sure. The port area was a big disappointment. There’s only a hand full of shops that seemed a bit pricey for our budget. Nothing was marked with prices and when you ask about pricing it would change from the time they tell you a price until checkout. Overall the locals are friendly.

Nassau, Bahamas

Super disappointed in this port. We chose not to do an excursion at this stop so we could just shop the port area. The locals were so pushy. You were constantly being hounded to buy stuff or asked if you needed a taxi. My husband was so uncomfortable in the port. We didn’t stay long before going back to the ship for the day.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Super easy disembarkation compared to the last trip.
