We liked Galveston very much. The beach was clean and fun to wade in the gulf. no excursion.

I live close to Galveston so I haven’t been to other stateside ports. I just wouldn’t use the restroom there because they are not well maintained. Take Clorox wipes to be safe if you have to go.

We stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton, it was great! Room was very clean and a great location.

Seemed like the terminal was not prepared to handle heavy rains and getting everyone to the terminal from the parking lot.
