Why bother??? Go out overnight, go to Norfolk which takes FOREVER to get too. Once you pass the Chesapeake bay bridge tunnel it’s a 2 hour trip up the river. Small little dock area, next to the naval museum and battleship Wisconsin. Then when you get off you can go to an aquarium or the museum or wander aimlessly around downtown Norfolk. Then when you get back on, you have to be CoVid tested AGAIN!

The shore excursion that was a tour of Norfolk was awful. It was one of the worse shore excursions that I have ever taken. The tour guide was boring, and except for the MacArthur museum and an ice cream shop, we never got off the bus, not even to take pictures or to buy souvenirs. We were in the museum for such a short time, we hardly saw anything. We should have spent another 20 minutes and could have skipped some of the tour where we were told “it’s over there but you can’t see it”.

Not sure why we stopped here. We went to Grain which is a rooftop bar about 2 blocks from the port. Had a few drinks and appetizers, which were very good. Cool place with a great view.

It’s a nice addition to the Bermuda Itinerary. We got off for a bit and explored around as we’re not as familiar with Norfolk as we were with some of the surrounding areas (i.e. Williamsburg and Virginia Beach).
