Compared to Charleston, Charleston was much more efficient. The people in Jacksonville were kind, but driving into the terminal area wasn't as kind. Checking in luggage is a nightmare whether you drop off from your vehicle or take from your vehicle to the terminal. It was chaotic! If you drop luggage off, you have to wait in line to drive in front of the terminal and fight the passengers crossing and unloading luggage. Then you have to wait in another line to drive to the parking area. We've sailed through Charleston three times. Charleston is much more organized and your vehicle is parked inside large locked buildings.

Great port. Very warm and humid, and very rainy during the summer, so beware. Large city with lots to do. Nice beaches, great shopping, and wonderful amenities close by such as Disney World, Universal, and Sea world.

Drove down early, and stayed in Jacksonville at the Indigo Hotel. Clean and nice. 20 min drive to the port. Pay for parking early and save money

No excursions here. I purchased my parking spot from JAXPORT online and literally could roll my luggage from the ship to my truck! They have people on golf carts that are dedicated to dropping you off to the ship as well.

Parking was very expensive, no discount for disabled like in Miami.
