No one answers phones at the port when I called (several times) to find out about parking. It is not appealing at all.

Lovely city and very pleased that it was on the itinerary... that is one reason we chose this cruise.

The port really needs to be updated. I live in south carolina and i know charleston can do better than that.

Downtown Charleston and the old mansion estates. Take a carriage ride around the city for a good overview. Wonderful old southern charm. I especially loved the "husband benches" for the men while their wives shop!

Walking around the historic district is great. Parking for Ft. Sumter and the aquarium is a joke!, The Hunley is only open on Weekends.

Very easy to get to, and well organized. We parked in their secure parking lot and had people + signs to guide us where we needed to go until we were all the way on the ship. No confusion at all. Cars are parked in large warehouses; we felt our vehicle was very safe.
