I love Charleston seeing as it's kind of like my home away from home. It's a 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive from where I live. Love Market St. Definitely something to check out if you are not from the area.

Very beautiful city, with so much history! If you get a chance, Visit King Street Cookies (a treat for sure) Also visit Washington Square (which happen to have an art fair at the time we went) and even if you can't go in to any of the museums, you should at least visit "Museum Mile". All of "Downtown" is a must see. Come a day or 2 early and put on your best walking shoes.

Charleston is a beautiful city. I easily saw how they earned their reputation for being the top friendliest and the most historical. A tour guide mentioned that they are second to Rome, Italy. If that's true, that's impressive. The morning greetings from those Daughters of the Republic were not rhetorical; they were having none of my north eastern avoid eye contact, keep your head low in case you need to tuck and roll, and move swiftly. I would visit again for the food alone; but considering the city has so much to offer, I'm looking forward to my next visit to the low country for the people, the food, and the charm.

We spent the weekend here and wandered around one of our favorite cities! We shopped the markets and hung out at waterfront park and the battery and had a lovely time!

Very easy to find parking, easy to park, check luggage, and get on the ship! There were some lines but Carnival was very quick getting us through the lines! Got on the ship with no problem!

Loved Charleston Patriot Park, the fort etc. Stay night before at best western and leave your car there it cost $20 a day at the port. It was nice to be dropped off at the gate.
