Easy port. Long queues for Gold on RC to embark but the wait meant rooms were ready by the time I boarded. Front of the line disembarking and sailed through customs. Through security at BWI by 8:05am after a $24 Lyft ride. Turned platinum on this cruise so next time won't have the long gold/newbie queue to deal with here. Nice sail down Chesapeake Bay with a georgous sunset.

We love Baltimore. We can drive to the port. The bridge limits the size of the ships which guarantees that we will have a smaller ship.

The inner harbor is beautiful. We visited Poe Museum which was awesome if that is of interest to you.

I chose to leave from Baltimore due to its proximity and convenience. But keep in mind if you leave from this port a significant portion of your trip will be cruising the length of the Chesapeake Bay. The dock facilities seem very rudimentary and an accident had damaged the gangplank while we were away, complicating disembarkment.
