Review summary

First, let me say the staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient in all regards. My second impression is that this boat is looking tired and dated. It's very clean and adequately appointed, but numerous little details belie its age. The entertainment wasn't particularly exceptional but amusing. The dining experience wasn't bad at all but the menus seemed a bit retro. The specialty restaurant we dined in had a pleasant atmosphere but the food seemed like only a slight upgrade from the standard dining room fare. Our stateroom was adequately comfortable but Spartan. The emphasis on this trip was value over glamour, particularly if you're savvy to the numerous extra cost items.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Not bad, a little retro, emphasis on value

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The musical numbers had strong singers and strong dancers, but never the twain shall meet. Apparently the choreographer has gone AWOL. Amusing with cocktails.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Always friendly on our cruise

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Clean but dated. Relax into the time capsule kitsch.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Always clean and tidy, thanks to the efficient staff, and adequate in appointments, but shows its age. Overdue for a facelift.

Ship tip

Not the freshest or most glamorous ship, but a good value if you avoid the many extra cost items.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

3 out of 5
I chose to leave from Baltimore due to its proximity and convenience. But keep in mind if you leave from this port a significant portion of your trip will be cruising the length of the Chesapeake Bay. The dock facilities seem very rudimentary and an accident had damaged the gangplank while we were away, complicating disembarkment.

King's Wharf, Bermuda

5 out of 5
Simple, modern and efficient.

We sailed on Lady G in April and you're right--she is in need of a refit & will be getting one April 2017. We absolutely love this boat because of the atmosphere created by the crew. Everyone is so friendly & eager to please!! We're going on the Canadian/New England cruise in Sept 2017. Can't wait!😎
