Review summary

We had a good time but this is not the ship for us. It is an older ship and economical but not what we've come to expect from Royal Caribbean. The buffet was not good. The entertainment, very underwhelming. The dining room was awesome and the destination perfect. I need a bigger ship with stabalizers to limit motion of the ocean.

Embarkation

There were some extenuating circumstances but this took 2 hours of standing in line.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The buffet drug this to a 3 star. Dining room and servers were great but compared to other Royal Caribbean cruises the buffet was awful.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We did more trivia and scavenger hunt type things for days at sea. There was a good variety of activities.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
The entertainment simply was not what I have come to expect from Royal Caribbean.

Children's Programs

No children with us this time.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Fantastic crew on this ship, including Cruise Director and Activities Manager.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
It was definitely clean. Our room was in a great location and accessible to dining room, etc. This has 3 stars simply because it's an older ship with very little in the way of stabalizers.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The beds were super comfortable. The pillows amazing! Cabin is small, but that is to be expected. We only sleep there and shower.

Ship tip

If you get seasick, this may not be the ship for you. It is older without the stabalizers I am accustomed to.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

The inner harbor is beautiful. We visited Poe Museum which was awesome if that is of interest to you.

King's Wharf, Bermuda

5 out of 5
We visited the breathtaking Crystal Caves. We spent the rest of our time at Horseshoe Beach.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We were late getting in due to weather. I thought the disembarkation was handled very efficiently.

We also find Yoyager Class ships rock around a lot too...Adventure, Explorer are awful in both wind and rough seas.

The ship does have stabilizers. Captain told us that he was using them on our way to Bermuda. Ocean was rough as we followed Humberto. We thought the entertainment was great.

That ship actually has stabilizers and we have personally felt the most roll in bigger ship when a combo of strong crosswind and heavy seas can effect it more than smaller ships.
