We walked from the pier to fisherman's wharf and then onto the Fairmont Empress. Nice easy walk and nice scenery. We road the water taxi back to fisherman's wharf ($6/Canadian each). It was nice. Had a nice lunch at fisherman's wharf and then walked back to the pier. Not much time to do anything else. Had already seen Bushart Gardens.

We were only here for a couple hours but we had a great time. We chose to eat dinner on the ship (our favorite specialty restaurant was offering BOGO free since this was the last night. we didn't know about the dinner special until the bill came so win-win!) in order to make the most of our time in the city. Half of my family lives in Vancouver so I used to visit Victoria with my grandparents during the summer as a child so it holds a special place in my heart. Anyway, Right off the ship we were offered a few travel choices - bus, walk, towncar, horse-drawn carriage, and pedi-cab. We chose the pedi-can as it was funky and different. It was $62US per hour. We did the 2 hour tour which was just right. We started while it was still light out as ended in the dark so it was great to see everything in the sunlight then all lit up with Pretty white lights when it got darker. The history in the town is great and it's just all around beautiful. If you are given the opportunity to visit this port with more daylight hours - definitely do not miss the butchart gardens. I went a few times when I was growing up and even as an unruly, grumpy teenager I still thought it was absolutely stunning. Right off the ship there's a little booth that will exchange US dollars (or any kind for that matter) for Canadian. Their dollar is actually a coin called a Loonie and they have a $2 coin called a Toonie. As a kid, I thought that was hilarious (their dollar stores are "Loonie Stores" ) 😜 so I got one of each and a small bill (their money is beautiful) to bring back home for my son to see/have.

Again a very short stay and at night. Our initial excursion was cancelled ( observatory) which I was looking forward to. Took a horse and buggy ride for about an hour to see the city light up.

Don’t plan two excursions. Not enough time. We Did Hop on Hop Off tour in the double Decker bus, but due to their scheduling a of only picking up every hour it did not allow us to get off and we were almost late to her ship. We also had did Burchart Gardens earlier that morning. Just schedule one thing.

Limited time In port. Was my least favorite port of the trip. Beatiful but just wasn't feeling it. Truly was a great experience to stop there. Maybe if there had been more time or daylight hours it may have been different.

The Orca Exploration was also great. No bus ride, you begin this excursion right at the pier where the NCL Sun is docked. The Marine Biologists gave us information all along the ride and explained much more than I knew about whales. Great time!
