Our ship docked at 7pm. We went to the Butchart Gardens and the Butterfly Garden. Butchart Garden would have been nicer with more daylight hours. I would suggest anyone with the same itinerary, docking in the evening, skip the Butterflies and just go to the Butchart Gardens. Very beautiful, but hard to appreciate in the low light. It was open to view until 11pm, but our ship left at 11:59 and we had to leave by 10:30 to complete our excursion and return to the ship in time for all aboard.

This was our favorite port. Since we did not book any excursions before we got there we hired a pedicab driver when we got off the ship. There are several of them parked right there as you get off the ship and it was the best excursion we did on the whole cruise. He drove us around the town for three hours for $150 and it was magical. Our driver was Mark and he showed us the whole city. It was unlike any tour anyone else took.

Would not choose to include this stop next time. Did not arrive here until 7pm at night. There are lots of beautiful things I would have liked to see here during the day time but was unable to because it was dark. Also 30 mins walk to town unless you paid for a ride. I felt that this stop was pointless.
