Great port to board from, spent 5 days in Seattle prior to cruise. Weather was accommodating the last two days. Many options to explore while there.

I liked Seattle. We went to the Aquarium. It was small, but our flight was not till later so it filled the time. We ate at The Crab Pot too. It was fantastic.

We came in a day early and did the Yonder sky wine and falls tour. Loved it. Also stayed a day latter so that we did not miss our flight.

Seattle should be renamed "Tent City." There were miles of tents lining the freeway so the scenic drive from the airport to the port was not a pretty fall leaves changing colors kind of drive. The landscape was dirty and unkempt. The city spent $20 million on a ferris wheel but won't keep the city clean? It was a huge disappointment to find the eco-friendly city known for tourism is a place I never want to go back to.

We spent two days before the cruise doing typical tourist attractions. We stayed in Pioneer Square, a good location. One of us also took Amtrak for a day trip to Vancouver, which she enjoyed.

Pretty typical city, but the hills reminded me of San Francisco. Highly recommend the Capital Grille for dinner, and the Whiskey Bar for drinks. There is a Star Trek (and fantasy, sci-fi, and Jim Henson) exhibit at the Pop Culture Museum by the space needle. We were a bit underwhelmed by the Chihuly Glass Garden because after the first room of giant pieces of glass they all seemed pretty similar. The garden was nice, however. The Pike Market was extremely bustling, if you like that. The original starbucks is there, but the line is extremely long and, for a starbucks coffee, I just went to the next one down the street. We did go on a coffee tour the morning we sailed, since we had a few hours, and we went on a beer tour the day before. Both were by RedDog tours that started at the Seattle Brewing Company. After we docked, we went on a day trip to Mt. Rainier - definitely worth staying the extra day to see.

We loaded and unloaded here. Didn't do anything extra. The airport didn't seem big enough to handle the amount of people that unloaded off of the ships.

We had fun in Seattle, but I have to admit we were exhausted from the cruise by the time we got there. We did manage to take the light rail downtown and visit Pike Place and wander around downtown. I was shocked at the amount of homeless downtown. I didn't remember that from visits past. Yet another flight of beer at Pyramid Alehouse near Safeco Field.
