Visited Seattle at the back-end of the cruise. Ordinarily, Seattle is a nice place to visit. However, I wished the city would do something about the homeless problem. We had a late return flight home so we rented car and drove out to Olympic National Park. Although, we spent a long day in the car, visiting the beaches on the west coast of the park made it worth our while.

Poor traffic control at the cruise terminal. the pickup and drop off area were just a mess.

We arrived a day earlier and rented a car. We went south to see Mt Rainer but it was to overcast and roads were not clear from snow. We then went to Snoqualmie and saw a wonderful waterfall and flowers.

We didn't spend time here, except to and from the airport. It was a pretty drive though.

Budget extra spending money. This city is expensive. If scheduling allows, take the time to rent a car and drive up to Olympic National Park: it is amazing!

We stayed for 3 days after our cruise. Went to the Flight Museum and the next day rented a vehicle and went to Mount Rainier National Park, climbed 4 miles up the mountain, amazing experience. The only downside of this city is $$$ everything is very expensive. If staying for couple of days, rent a vehicle!

Stayed at the Westin prior to sailing and Princess does an excellent job in collecting your baggage and bringing it to the ship - for you! No carrying around luggage!!!

We flew into Seattle a day ahead of the cruise. We went to the Chihuly Glass Gallery. That was awesome. Skipped the Space Needle due the high price. Ate at some small mom and pop places--good food.

Seattle is close to our home, so we go there fairly often. It is a great city with many wonderful places to visit and activities to do.
