If your cruise ship is in San Diego for the day ,you can walk one block to the Train Station . You can catch the Trolley there , you can see a lot of San Diego that way. Buy a all day pass for 5 dollars

We stayed at the Holiday Inn which picked us up from the airport and took us to the Port. We had a great lunch at the Shakespeare Pub &Grill on India Street.

We lived in San Diego/Coronado for many years and there is so much to see and enjoy. We decided to be tourists this time and rode the Old Town Trolley, which was a lot of fun. Hopped off in Coronado and took another couple on a tour of the Hotel Del after visiting the local museum. Grabbed a quick bite at our favorite Mexican restaurant, Miguel's (their jalapeno cheese dip is sooo good) then hopped back on the trolley to complete our tour. HINT: You can save a few dollars by purchasing tickets for the trolley online.

Did 2 excursions. Harbor tour and hop on hop off trolley. This is a beautiful city. Lots to see and you really need multiple days to cover it. I need to got back. The excursions I took gave we a wonderful overview.
