Catalina Island (Avalon) was nice, although it does not begin to compare to many Caribbean ports of call.

Catalina Island was pleasant but there is not that much to do there. We rented a golf cart for 2 hours ($40) which was a lot of fun in that we explored the island at our own pace.

Love this port. There is so much more to Catalina then the shops right in town. We did the ziplining. It was a great activity, with views of some on the inner terrain and amazing views of the ocean while zipping. The guides were excellent. They were fun, professional and very knowledgeable about the island and all it has to offer. Highly recommend it.

We enjoyed walking around the city. We shopped, walked along the beach and saw as much as we could. It felt like a small European island town.
