Stayed a few days in New Orleans. Great city, food was great. Lots of history and culture. The swamp tour was great. Every night on Bourbon street is a party.

Before or after your cruise you should definitely plan on spending time in New Orleans. The French Quarter, Canal Street, The ruby Slipper, Bourbon Street, the Garden District, are all worth your time. If one wants to see what Bourbon street was like 20 years ago go to Frenchman Street Just outside the French Quarter. Great food, better music, and fewer kids peeing in the street.

I stayed at the LaQuinta in Gretna for one night and was able to leave my car at no charge for the cruise. A cab ride was $17 each way.

New Orleans has tons of personality and is a perfect place to start your cruise. There's unique food, interesting architecture, and lots to see. I highly recommend the swamp tours.

I really like going to New Orleans. The port terminal confounds me Everytime. This cruise, the city was besieged by Swifties and I didn't get to spend my pre-cruise hotel in the city

It's New Orleans!! We stayed at the Burbon Orleans, 2 Story loft with a Balcony over looking Burbon St. Our Dinner was GW Fin, which was delicious with each course and bite. The staff were 5Stars!! Café Du Mondé was Busy and indulgent. The Cartiage Ride with Royal Carriages which included the St Louis Cemetary tour, was fun, laid back and overall a perfect way to see the area.

Go to Lafitte's bar to visit one of the oldest bars in the USA. Have some beignets at Cafe du Monde and jambalaya at Mother's. Go pretty much anywhere and listen to jazz. New Orleans is a great city with so many kind people. Had a great time dancing, eating and drinking my way through Bourbon Street
