We did an excursion, you made it very easy. Love love love this place. Took the buš to the Column, walked up it, then took the nature hike to see famous Tree. Great photo moments with us and helping others.

I will be honest we really didn't want to do anything in astoria despite having a rich history. We did take a run on the riverwalk. it was 1.5 miles(2.5km) from the dock to the maritime museum. some of the riverwalk was paved, part of it was the trolley tracks and part of it was on working pier with large bolts sticking up so you needed to be aware of your footing. I do recommend good foot wear if you want to do the riverwalk.

We’ve been to Astoria before, and there us a great maritime museum and cannery museum. This time, we just took the bus to town ($5 for all day riding), and enjoyed the shops and a brewpub. Low-key but enjoyable.

Did the coastal cruise that included the Tillamook Cheese Factory and Tillamook Aviation Museum. The coast amazingly was clear and it was gorgeous. The cheese factory visitor center has been remodeled since I last went and it looks great. I went years ago to the Tillamook Air Museum and it was a great museum. But then the owner of about half the planes took his planes elsewhere. It’s not the great museum it used to be. But still worth the visit. I think this excursion was well worth the price.
